Hello,

I have installed Arm9loaderhax on my New 3ds xl, i have few questions about this hack.
Sorry for my english i do my best :)

First i see this template when the console booting with few options after, i don't know what file i have to put on my sd card to have it :

http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=674353Luma3DS.gif

Option interesting to me, is Decrypt 9 at the boot for convert 3DS in CIA format.

I have another question, it s how to loose this hack , is it possible nintendo update uninstall arm9 installation ?

What size of wire do you advise to me for dumping nand in hardware mod, i try my kynar, i guess the size was AWG 25 but nand was not recognize, so i use another wire, size was more big for dump and inject patch, but he is really too big for close the console with all screw.

Thanks for reading me.

Why is a9lh a terrible hack?..

Anyway, truth be told, I am unfortunately not yet a user of a9lh, but I'm fairly certain you need BootAnim9 for boot animation support.

A9lh will probably never be patched. The hack is initialised just milliseconds in the boot, so it is already activated before the rest of the system starts. Even if Nintendo somehow finds a way to patch it, I highly doubt they would, since the 3ds is at its end of its life anyway.

Search for a hardmod tutorial.

@Farian,

My new 3DS XL always booting , before that i have a system with emunand, and the boot wasn't so good. Now i have 100% success, and i have option before booting, sysnand backup, restore .....

For the wire, all the tutorial i see, don't precise the size of the wire, i got only pictures.
For the connector, i see people using Micro USB on OD3DS, but in new 3DS i see another connector, i search the name of it or an eBay link if someone have ?

I will search for boot anim 9, thank you.

I see on the internet, people booting on decrypt 9, i guess it a bin file.

It's all explained here:
https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Other-features-and-notes

Payload Chainloading
Allows you to run other ARM9 programs on boot.
How to use:

Put any payload you wish to use in SD:/luma/payloads, and rename it to <button>_<name>.bin(where <name> can be whatever you want)

<button>_<name>.bin can be as follows:
  • x_NAME.bin
  • y_NAME.bin
  • select_NAME.bin
  • start_NAME.bin
  • r_NAME.bin
  • a_NAME.bin
  • right_NAME.bin
  • left_NAME.bin
  • up_NAME.bin
  • down_NAME.bin
For r_NAME.bin, a_NAME.bin and select_NAME.bin you need to press L+R, L+A and L+SELECTon boot respectively.
For any other payload you only need to hold its corresponding button.
If you're using a non-screen-init version of A9LH, it will be done automatically before launching the payload.

[EDIT]
I use it as:
start_Decrypt9WIP.bin
(You can rename it whatever you like (for example: start_d9.bin) or use another button, a_d9.bin)

Now, when i hold start, then power on my system (while still holding start), it boots into Decrypt9

If you followed Plailect's guide, you will already have Decrypt9 set as an alternate payload, I believe it's set to the start button so if you press that at boot, Decrypt9 should show up.

That is the problem of using online translators. They will always fuck up and say the opposite or something entirely different.
Yep, I noticed. I also happen to know a tiny bit of french. It's kind of a common mistake between very basic english learners.

Actually, if he followed the guide recently, he'd have Hourglass9 on Start.

Now assuming OP is using Luma3DS per the guide. Then you'll want use Luma3DS' payload chainloading feature. (This was basically already hinted at anyways)
Link: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Other-features-and-notes#payload-chainloading

OP, basically download the latest release of Decrypt9WIP.
Link: https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases

1. Copy Decrypt9WIP.bin from the Decrypt9WIP zip to the /luma/payloads/ folder on your SD card.
2. In the /luma/payloads folder, rename Decrypt9WIP.bin to down_Dec9.bin

Now hold the D-PAD Down, and you'll boot into Decrypt9 at boot time. You can change the button to whatever you want, as long as it's a valid one as described in the Luma3DS wiki that I linked above or linked to you previously, I guess.

Sorry for not be native english speakers.
Sometimes we may have to use online translator.
Come in french (as for op and me), we'll see if you can do better than us in english.

No need to be sorry, i'm just saying online translators are crap and it had nothing to do with the OP's English.

If you already have a9lh installed you don't need to hardmod to dump your nand! Use decrypt9wip or hourglass9
