I've heard of the limit being 300, is there a way to change that to an unlimited amount or higher?

On my niece and nephew's 3DSes they have around 40 or 50 games on their 3DSes(mostly shitty shovelware), and it takes a bit to load all those icons. I cannot even imagine how long it would take to load 300+. I'm pretty sure Nintendo set this limit for a reason, lols.

As @Robz8 said, the only way currently to get past the 300 .cia file limit is to create an emuNAND on your SD card. Honestly, I'm not sure how anybody could play that many games though.

it's not so much about playing that many games at any one time (For me anyway, I'm at the 300 title limit). I view my N3DS as kind of a library, something I can lend to just about any one of my friends or family and they'll likely be able to find just the game or kind of game they're looking for. Granted lots of my titles are VC and inject titles that can easily be played on available emulators on the 3DS, so as more 3DS titles get added to my menu, I'm able to go and delete unnecessary VC/injects but it would be nice to have all my favorite games readily available to be played by me or my friends or whatever.

You could just use folders...

It's not that the home screen is limited to 300 tiles. You can't install more than 300 titles. How you could ever bypass that is out of my scope though, the number of 3ds games worth playing amounts to 30, maybe 40 tops.

Actually, the home screen is limited to 300 icons (badges included), you can install and use more apps as long as you don't use Nintendo software to manage them (ie always install and launch stuff through fbi, lol)

Just delete the ones you no longer play.
The only reason I'd see as to why you have so many games, is if you either have a lot of homebrew installed, or a bunch of virtual console games installed.
If it's virtual console games, just use retroarch, and put your Roms in a folder. (Example: NES ROMS)
If you do that, it'll be better, and you can have more games. Even better, don't keep games you don't want.
Or maybe just put some on sysnand.
It all works.

you can use other software to launch >300 games such as FBI.

I think @TheCruel should make a launcher app based on Freeshop... I like the search interface.

True, but its all about making it all as simple and user friendly as possible. I may know where to go to access some random game hidden away beyond the 300 title limit. But when I lend the thing to my buddy or my nephew, they aren't going to know, they'll assume its a what you see is what you get kind of thing.

GOOD GAWD, GO buy the games from stores, If you want 300 games, Nintendo never intended to have someone to have thatt many things installed.

I reached the 300 title limit years ago when I downloaded every single video and every single demo version they released. It is intended and the limit sucks.
