You and I are alike. I've tested almost every distro (That is mainstream). This goes all the way to Gentoo, which isn't as popular as the rest. I spent an entire MONTH, no exaggeration, testing these distros. I didn't do anything else but test what Linux distros were the best. In my opinion, I would have to go with Mint, regardless what computer. I replaced my Mac OS with Linux Mint because I love it so much. The most beautiful thing about Linux Mint, in my opinion, would be the UI. Absolutely gorgeous!

Now, if you want to know what my LEAST favorite Linux distro is, it would have to be Fedora. God, gnome-shell just annoys the ever-living crap out of me! It's incredibly ugly and can be difficult to navigate at times

But yeah, you and I are a lot alike. Obsessed with Linux xD
Heh, yes! I actually went for Gentoo because I thought back then that compiling stuff on my PC would somehow make it more optimised for the architecture I was using. IF there were benefits, they were so marginal that it wasn't worth the huge build times!

I tried Mint long ago, I liked it (I especially like MATE, I find that everything else that came after GNOME 2.x was a monstrosity) but I kept looking for other stuff, mainly out of curiosity. Fedora was actually one of the first distros I've used and I remember using Fedora Core 3 for quite a bit of time and how randomly, upgrading packages would bork my entire system. I didn't know how to fix stuff like that back then though, so it meant formatting the entire system every time! :P

Yeah, I love Linux :D My first distro was Mandrake! Damn, that takes me back... Enough off-topic now tho :P

I never heard of the EeePC, and looking at it now, it seems pretty damn interesting.

I might be getting one lol, thing is cheap and probably very good for emulating old consoles.

Found one for R$200 on a Facebook group in my province. R$200 for something with 4GBs of ram is pretty darn good even if the processor is crap :S

It's 4GB of storage(onboard, btw), not memory (at least the one we have here lol)
200 you can find a damaged 3DS and run better OS there XDD

Updatinh the situation here,
Now with eeebuntu... runs fine but facebook do npt work if not in mobile (m.facebook ), youtube forever loading and show nothing :v

EasyPeasy looked nice on the trial but I had problens to install :B

I have an EeePC 700 and I can verify from past experience that Windows XP is pretty much unusable.
