Hello, this might seem an odd question but, I have 2 3DS that have different regions (US and EU).

I was wondering if it would be possible for me to play games with the two of them locally, meaning same game.

Do I have to use the same CIA for both of them or do I need to do something else? Thanks.

You should use Region Free Patched Version, so you can play online.
If you play online a .cia game that does not match your console region (except RF Patched), you could be banned.

No?
I've played a EUR Smash Bros. CIA on a Japanese 3DS without any region patching; online worked fine.
Secondly, Luma3DS patches all region checks, meaning that all games are essentially RF, and because of this, you do not need to use a region free patcher.

Oh I forgot the RF Patched Function of Luma3DS
OK you can use all .cia files without any problem

Depends on the game. Pokemon is the only game I can confirm to work locally like that.

So only online play is possible then, but what if I "change" the region of one 3DS?

I'm not good with this EMUNAND thingy but is it possible to have them both the same and play ?
