So I installed Menuhax and an emunand, on my Nephew's o3DS, It is using Rxtools, and has 9.2 sysnand and 11.0 Emunand and it was working fine, but now RXtools goes to a Black screen, and, so I tried Luma3DS, same result. His setup is exactly the same as mine, except that I have a 2DS, and mine works perfectly. I have tried overwriting current Emunand, and it work but then it went back to not working, so I tried formatting the sd card and restoring files, but it still didn't work, and it is driving me batty, Does anyone have any suggestions, or have had this happen to them. Thanks in advance.

It is different, but why would you do that?
That is probably the worst decision if you don't even know what the problem is.
There are multiple reasons for a blackscreen appearing on emuNAND launch.
  1. Bricked EmuNAND
    • Make a Backup of the EmuNAND. Transfer SysNAND to EmuNAND and try launching.
    • If EmuNAND launches now your EmuNAND was bricked.
  2. Missing or wrong firmware.bin
    • Get an up to date firmware file and copy it to the according place.
  3. Wrong formatted SD Card
    • Try reformatting your SD with Decrypt9 and resetup emuNAND.
  4. "Broken" SD Card
    • Swap your SD Card and see if it works
  5. Unsupported FIRM
    • Try a different EmuNAND firmware.
  6. Outdated CFW / Bad setups
    • Update
(According to you saying it was in fact working before it should be either 1 or 4)

Either way. I would suggest trying to find the cause before randomly using GW EmuNAND.
I personally suggest using RedNAND from Decrypt9 with a Luma3DS setup.
And if you feel like investing some Time and you think you can properly follow a Guide, then use the Guide by @Plailect to install Arm9LoaderHax. (If you don't know where to find it you literally google exactly that)
If you got Luma3DS working it will be even easier to switch to an A9LH setup afterwards.

1. I did backup emunand, and transferred sysnand to emunand, it worked, but when I had shut it down, and rebooted it gave me a black screen again.
3. I am going to try that.

I'm not going to attempt A9LH until I buy another 3DS/2DS.

Could the fact that the SD card used to be setup on my system, with emunand, be causing the problems?

That shouldn't be causing any problems if the SD Card is still working fine and if you reformatted the SD Card appropriatly before moving it to the other 3DS.
Setting up RedNAND or EmuNAND via Decrypt9/Hourglass9 and setting up some CFW (I suggest Luma3DS since it is fairly easy to use etc.) should do it.
If that doesn't work try a different SD Card.

So I have his 3DS, and formatted it using the most recent version of emunand9,and setup a RedNAND, and it started working, I'm now going to try setting up Emunand.
