Hello everyone

Like i said in the title i need a new pc because my old is how to say that...a trash(not even a dual core)
I was planning to save some money to pay a better one,

This one : http://www.clubic.com/shopping-1001900-3-hp-pavilion-17-go22nf.html

But Friend A started to say that it was a waste of saving to buy this one

So i settled for another one: http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00190278.html

Friend B: Seriously do you have this kind of money? Because i want you to land me some....just a little bit

So i tried to see another one less better: http://www.systemco.net/online/1875-notebook-i3-toshiba-c55-b1044.html

Friend A & B: don't you want to play games & emulated games on your PC?

Damn and even with saving i need 5 months before buying the i7 one but after that i won't have any money left!

So someone can tell me which PC to take? I really need help!
Just want to be able to play some online game, and pc game, do some freelance and again some games.

You need to be just a little more clear with what kind of games you want to play. If it's just online games, all 3 laptops would be able to run them. Older emulation (SNES and N64) would also be able to run on all 3. Newer emulation (PS1, PS2) would struggle on the third laptop but would be ok on the first two.

The other thing is, how much are you actually willing to spend on your laptop? If you just need it for office work, then the first or third laptop would be better as the price is lower. If you really need to play games, the second laptop has better specs than the others (nvidia 940 compared to 920 and Intel HD 4000) and would get better performance.

does it have to be a laptop? you could get a PC+monitor+accessories for about the same price. and a PC won't have overheating issues, you can upgrade individual parts when you get some more cash. it's just a lot better for the wallet.

I want to be able to do freelance everywhere so i choose a laptop for now (seriously i really like games i can play for two days straight on my days off without sleep sooo let's just say the electricity bill when i had a PC was... you know not for kids) and after when i'll have more money.

You need to be just a little more clear with what kind of games you want to play. If it's just online games, all 3 laptops would be able to run them. So the second one it is, since i want to play some PS2 games too and about money i can only save 100$/month, and in my country the second one cost 780$, i already have 390$, i got a 3ds but my otaku spirit is screaming for more, if only i got a better job...*sigh*, well i don't mind waiting to pay the better laptop i can find.

PS: I got this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834216950 for the same price as the second one, so which one is better between these two?

If cost is an issue, it's always worth eyeballing ebay when looking at laptops. Laptop prices drop like a stone as soon as you open the package, you might be surprised at what you can get for ~$250.

it uses a generation older CPU that has a 700Mhz lower clock speed and only uses integrated graphics. It's about the same as the third laptop you linked and 1.7Ghz doesn't get very far with emulation. In short, not worth the asking price (if it wasn't out of stock).

Ebay in Ivory Coast, this is impossible.
I don't even want to think about the costs!

Damn because the only shop which had the second one don't have it anymore and only offer this one.

PS: Holy shit so cheap in ebay but i need to convert FCFA to EURO and it is not fun when when i take the costs...
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Toshiba-Sate...268521?hash=item2caa9230e9:g:AC8AAOSwsN9W~3oH
And i'm not even sure it is possible to send it in my country *sob* I hate this country!

Good choice on going with another brand, I have never owned a HP product that hasn't been a piece of shit. Toshiba laptops tend to be good value for money, just make sure you uninstall all the bloatware, there's going to be a lot of it.
I would probably go with the i5 Toshiba, the i3 is going to be very weak. The i5 should even be powerful enough to run Dolphin, albeit not in 1080p.

I talked about a friend who owns the i5 and he said it was shit for runing games, i didn't believe him so i searched on google and the reviews on it for games are bad.
I don't know what to do....HP is shit, LENOVO is too fragile and trash ,ACER never last long,SAMSUNG and DELL too pricy ,APPLE is from another world and TOSHIBA can only propose me for i5 a INTEL CORE not a NVIDIA...
Looks like my i5 is going further away

Each name you mentioned are companies that assemble laptops from existing parts. They don't make the parts, so you can't really say "all HP laptops suck"... It's just that HP have a track record of bad design choices (meaning bad selection of parts) that are often prone to overheating.

What matters most in selecting a laptop is the parts it uses. Look at the CPU, the graphics... And then look at the price to make sure you're willing to pay for those parts. Finally, look at the reviews to check for any known common problems. Once satisfied, then you can buy with confidence. The name on the laptop doesn't really matter at all, because all laptops have similar problems (like a 30% chance to fail within 3 years).

The first Toshiba you linked does have a nvidia GPU. I had an Acer laptop and I was very happy with it, so I think Acer would be a good choice. Most people seem to be happy with Lenovo too but I find that they almost never have dedicated GPUs and they cost as much as other laptops with dedicated GPUs so they are not really worth it IMO.

When you say these kind of thing with Ikuto pic, my heart hurt!

An Acer is the same price as a TOSHIBA so if i need to buy one, i prefer TOSHIBA

I found the solution: Pay for a i3 toshiba(the third choice, i must admit, that i really like the color), at least it can emule something(PS2 if i'm really lucky) and pay a I5 PC later, I decided to wait until November before buying a laptop, i don't want to regret something.

Thanks everyone for all your answer.

PS: It is weird but i can't find a review for the third TOSHIBA

Then should I start talking about magical pirates, pirating all the games under the magical excuse of emulation?

I looked online for reviews, and whilst I can't find that exact model a similar model review showed it has a very cheap screen and keyboard as well as a slow HDD - signs of the corners they cut to bring the price down.

The Intel 4000 graphics chip (which after a bit of digging on the HP seems to be what both of them have) is a Windows-XP era graphics chip. I don't know how efficient the PS2 emulators are on graphics calls, maybe it'd be ok if the emulation overhead is low because the PS2 itself worked fine with less capability even than that, but I have an asus netbook so old someone gave it to me for free with comparable graphics power to those laptops.

I know you don't want to hear this but you'd never convince me to give someone triple digit money for hardware that old.

Start saving or think about getting a desktop! I've got a Asus n55sl I bought around 5 years ago that can't keep up with the new games but can run skyrim. An equivalent of i5 and up is a must with a dedicated gpu chip and AMD processors are better value for money though I'm not sure how the model numbers compare with Intel and nvidia

Would also say a PC is better and cheaper but if you really want a laptop...
Maybe:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/Asus-F555LF-XO334D-15-6-Intel-Core-i5-5200U-8GB-RAM-500GB-HDD-/172146352492
(You may be able to find a better price, because a few weeks ago this one was 70€ cheaper. Oh and backup your windows license key and burn a cd with windows, because this one hasn't an OS installed.)
Alterntively maybe HP 350 G2 L7Z80ES.
Too bad i can't ship it to my country because of the costs(I can buy a ipad + a iphone6+a apple watch if i add the costs)
