I'm on part 5 of the guide. Step 1 say to move SecureInfo_A_emergency, movable_emergency.sed, title_emergency.db, andticket_emergency.db, from the root of my sd card to a safe location. I dont have those things in my sd card. Any ideas?
(Sorry if it's a noob question)

I'm having a similar problem.

I completed parts 1-4 without any problems but I'm having trouble with part 5. The first two steps of Section I weren't there the last time I checked and nor was the final step of part 19 of the same section (copying emuNAND_original.sha).

I never backed up any .sha files when I did the first parts because the instructions I followed didn't tell me to, now I'm really confused as to what I should be doing next. y_y

Those steps are new, with the newly updated tools.

OTPHelper v0.88 now dumps those files with "One Click Setup"
Link: https://github.com/d0k3/OTPHelper/releases/

EmuNAND9, Decryp9//Hourglass9, all now use .SHA with their newest releases.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep going with the guide. If you have problems, just ask.

In part 5, section 2, number 1, i cant get the webpage to load. It just freezes. any ideas? I already restored to 9.2 because it told me to in the guide. However, step 1 in that section says "
  1. Reinsert your SD card into your 2.1.0 3DS"
Do I have to downgrade to 2.1 again to do a full install?

Damn it Plailect. (ONLY JOKING, Love you Plailect~ <3 in a platonic sort of way.~) SIGH. No. Don't, he moved that from part 4, now to part 5. Look at the end of Part 4, and you'll see the 2.1 section isn't there anymore.

Sigh. Anyways, was this the previous revision of the guide you were using? https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/w...hax)/fa98a34b7d988e00c1ead3b535700e97ef71409e

For others reading, if you're using the newly updated guide, continue using it, do not use previous revisions of the guide.

Thanks for helping me u_u I have to admit I'm pretty lost at this point. Should I download all of these new releases and (or) re-follow steps involving them?

If the previous revision I linked, is the one you were on, I wouldn't see how'd it hurt you.

Though if you don't mind doing everything over again, I am not going to stop you.

Dammit! And here I just got to part 5 last night and said well ill finish it tomorrow after work". Good thing I just got it back from getting a hardmod two days ago just encase lol

The revision I linked should be the one you were using.

Anyone should be able to browse past revisions by clicking under title where it says "xxx revisions" and should bring up all the revisions that particular part of the guide has gone through.

Yeah diffidently looks better than what the newly revised one is. Thanks a crap ton for linking that btw.

Use that iso site and use FBI to install the .cia files. Use freeShop or CIAngel, and so on and so forth. :p

Or dump and convert your own games.

Note about that guide, you'll need Decrypt9 as a Luma3DS payload. So be sure to set that up before using that guide.

Download the latest release of BootAnim9.
Link: https://github.com/wolfvak/bootanim9/releases/tag/0.6.2

1. On your SD Card, rename "arm9loaderhax.bin" (which should be Luma3DS if you followed the guide to the end) to "arm9payload.bin"

2. Extract the contents of the latest BootAnim9 release to your SD Card(which should be a file called "arm9loaderhax.bin" and an "anim" folder with the file "calibrator" inside that folder.)

3. Then move the "arm9payload.bin" inside the "anim" folder, and you should be good to go.

4. Download BootAnimations you want to use from here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/a9lh-bootanim9-animations-thread.420421/
And place them in folders "0", "1", "2", etc up to "9"
Note: You don't have to have 9, you could just have 1, but it'd have to be "0" - I think.

The BootAnim9 thread provides more details.

No problem fam~ Now go pirate play your .cia backups! If you have any further questions, I guess ask in the 3DS NOOB PARADISE thread. :)
