Homebrew Answer to running DS backups on 3DS without a flashcart?

Why are people just going in circles here with buzz words like "enable" and "redirect" with no real substance, if it was as simple as

Enable_roms_from_sd = 1

then it would be done already, just because you can use words that make a task sound trivial doesnt mean it is

So... and this is for read/write? From where? o.0 It would be better if people who knows what they are talking about give us a reason and not just say that we should shut up, we all can learn something new every day, and everything comes from ideas, there's is no problem if we guess

Well then good luck guessing how to re-write twl firm, sorry but i have seen at least 3 experianced devs go into detail the complexities of what you guys are asking and every time people take nothing from it and just come back with "so what if we just force it to work then" again i have no issue with people fapping over saving $10 but repeating the same question isnt going to make it work, all the top devs around here have said they dont think its worth the effort, so its either you guys learn programming and do it yourselves or start bashing your hands on a keyboard and seeing if what comes out compiles into a full twl firm replacement with sdcard access

Yes there are some Devs that have said that, but everyone else has contributed. Apache Thunder, Yellows8, Robs8, and the rest of GBATemp had contributed and keeps contributing. We can all agree on something - that even though we haven't figured it out yet and it's complicated, we will still figure it out because we are a community. We have ideas and solutions - just not the knowledge of how to put that to work. But that's why we teamed up - to help each other out in the ways we can't do ourselves.

meh well I'm getting a gateway soon now that they've released a .bin file for existing a9lh installations, and the gateway comes with a ds flashcart so I no longer care about being able to run ds roms without a flashcart
seriously just get a flashcart

You do not get it. Most of the people who want DS cias already have flashcarts. But having DSi mode roms running in DSi mode would be awesome. And running them from the home menu without forwarders would also be awesomeeeeeeenBIUCPQbadhlvsf
