I know many tutorials for this already exist, but many of them permanently break the old thumb stick in the process. Plus, this was mostly just a practice video for the nand mod tutorial I am going to be making.
Please give me tips for what I can do to improve the quality. Thank you!

It's a nice Video, but PLEASE advise to using tweezers for cable removing and attaching of the shoulder buttons and similar attachments.
First of all it's a lot easier to remove and reattach them with them, making it faster and less likely to break them. Also if your hands tend to be sweaty it gets even worse to do it and you don't want to get the circuitry into to much contact with this.
(Besides sweat being wet and potentially creating a short curcuit ... yeah wouldn't actually worry about this part to much...
It is an acid after all and it may lead to corrosion damage)

@Zan' - i personally prefer my fingers/fingernails because they are not metal, not as sharp and won't scratch anything. i feel i have more control than a tool.

I literally just ripped the rubber off my 2 N3DS XLs because I just hated the nipple so much. At that point, anything is better than the nipple. It's nice that you showed an alternative that is reversible.

I can't say "much more enjoyable". It would mean that both solutions - default nub and PSP stick - are enjoyable to an extent. But only the PSP stick is enjoyable, the other solution was not even usable. My nail would hit the hinge before being on the stick, then when on it by pure chance, I wouldn't be able to tilt it in the exact direction I wanted to or not fast enough due to having problems positioning myself on that stupid thing smaller than the Y button. Now with the PSP stick, I can put my finger lower so I don't hit the hing and still push or tilt in any direction.

Now, that's just me, maybe you don't have long nails for example, so if you already find the nub enjoyable, maybe this mod isn't for you. I'm not saying you'll find it worse but just that if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I don't know what kind of tweezers you have but mine have rubber at the front so they don't scratch etc. (Can't really explain)
But yeah they are basically made for working on electrical parts.
Of course you have to be careful either way but if I use these it takes like a second to get stuff in and out and I can't rip my wires by accident or kill the contacts.
But if your's are sharp it's probably better to not use them as they might cut your wires.

I think it's okay, but I can see how a nub would be preferred over the c-stick

Yeah, they were pointy, and I pinched the ribbon cable too hard and broke 1 or 2 stuff inside. Oh well.

can you replace it without opening up the console? :/ those psp sticks are so cheap, i would prefer the feel of the psp stick over the slipper c-stick..

it was actually funny but the "now you gonna" got stuck on my head for a while
but generally its good, just so you know, i watched it even without owning a N3ds, and i have no idea why..
your camera got the general "takes time to focus." which is really annoying but you can't do much about that.. however it does have good quality, i bet i could read the numbers on the chips
i remember i seen one dude who made the thing move, but i think he replaced the button board
