Considering you tried to use Foobar, this must be a video of some sort? If so, you're in the wrong section. You want computer help, not 3DS help.

Anyways, the only .mca info I can find is about Minecraft, and I highly doubt they're related. Where did you get this demo? Is it "legit?" Can you tell me where you got it without breaking the site's rules?

Foobar2000 . I think its a music player since it plays brstm using vgmstream

I got the demo from "that iso site" . Its a JPN demo thought

Or is it an actual game demo? Because if it's a game demo, I have no idea why you'd be trying to use Foobar2000. If it is a game demo, it's odd that it's not .3ds, .3dz, or .cia, but I haven't been keeping up with homebrew lately so I don't know what kinds of file formats you kids are using nowadays.

Oh, that completely changes things. After googling "3ds mca" I came across a program that might help you (or not, I know nothing of the inner workings of the 3DS). https://www.hcs64.com/vgmstream.html If this is the vgmstream thing you mentioned and you already tried it, then sorry, but *shrug* I give up.

Yeah, already tried it. It sounds crackling and bitcrushed.

Yep. By hexediting the files. Some files still doesn't work using that thought

For most it's 8 bytes needed to be removed, but I've noticed 4/8/16/20/24 bytes that need to be removed from individual files. It's a trial and error kind of thing.

have a look at https://gbatemp.net/threads/425059/ my tools contain an mca2wav.exe that succesfully converts mca's from monster hunter 4 and monster hunter x (generations). maybe your mca's work too
