Well it still seems to be a common problem at the Nintendo maintenance today according to the thread and my own experience of two updated DS. Online play for ORAS/XY and such work fine on Vanilla.

I don't see why that would matter if you have never used the Game Sync function but I suppose that could be it. Althought like i said it works fine using ctr-httpwn so I highly doubt it.

But Online works fine on OFW (or using httpwn), and it's strange for the error to be 'Please Update'.
I agree. Something about the maintenance messed it up Lol

I"m not sure maybe it"s because the CFW used since it"s working normally for my friends that use CFW, also they use EmuNand and RxTools or CakesFW, I can test again for you before they leave.

Not saying you're wrong but it's obviously more than a situational thing considering the amount of people reporting it. It's a friend's list error. You'll get the same message if you try to add friends using CFW/a9lh. Since ctr-httpwn works fine it seems to be directly related to using either.

Might be an issue with Luma, or possibly even A9LH.
I tried on A9LH/Aurienand/RXTools/ReiNand (old release) and got the same message. Who knows. I hope the crafty guys here can figure it out.

Yeah, as said maybe a Luma 3DS or A9LH problem, or even something bigger about it, since it"s working normally in their systems, it also is working normally in my Normal system (No CFW installed) with the last NVER and friends-sysmodule installed for Spoofing it and with ctr-httpwn.

Using A9LH makes the 3DS think that its friends-module isn't up to date?
That seems to be the case. Someone on the error thread already pointed out Luma needs and updated friends module script added to the release to bypass it.

Update: It works fine with RXTools on Pokemon games but the friends list crashes (An error occured) 80% of the time.

Okay, will do. Will update back when it is done.

EDIT: Thanks! I am a mod for a Twitch stream and it was really gonna cause problems if I couldn't get online on this 3DS. It worked and I am now online!

i'm still on 10.7.0.32 using luma (v5.4 i believe) & i play online no problem, system only advises to update when i revert back to the home screen

edit: i apologize, other games i play have no issues w/ forcing the update but pokemon OS did as mentioned by others

Depends on the version you are using v5.4 (especially with the hourly build updated) works just fine to bypass the nag on 11.0.0-33. If you're still on 10.7 none of this effects you until the update becomes forced so you never would have gotten the 002 error code. In a week or so when the update is forced, you may or may not have to update your armloaderhx.bin file.

thanks, i just edited my previous post, i did get the error when i tried pokemon OS (other games i play though didn't get the error)

question does using httpwn allow you to add new friends on your friend list??

i was gonna do cfw, but ran into some problems, aborted that idea for now.
