R4 Dual-Core and Gold work without a kernel update! Juz sayin

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I managed to make smashhax work, but it doesn't seem to enter the homebrew launcher. Tested 2 times now.

I renamed decrypt9 to arm9loaderhax.bin and put it on the root of my SD card, but it doesn't launch on boot... that means my 3DS is hardbricked? :(
Maybe the only solution is hardmod? (Fortunately I have a Sysnand backup...)
What fork of a9lh have you installed? (with or without screen init?). If you have installed the latest a9lh, try to remove the sd card, and power on the 3ds. If the console shutdowns, that means you have still a9lh, else... it's possibly a hardbrick... :(
Safe to assume that GW's cfw doesn't have firm protection implemented, so updating through that would overwrite a9lh.

Yes it was my mistake not to make sure I was on Luma3DS CFW when updating to 11.0. I was very careless... Anyway, I'm going to buy the tools to perform a hardmod tomorrow.

But in order to run Gateway under a9lh, you have to run it on top of Luma and that would have protection, right? Would the Gateway's lack of protection take precedence over the Luma's protection?

Can't run two CFWs at once to have both of their features at the same time, no. It's one or the other.

So what exactly was changed in the friends module was that just fixing more bugs and exploits or did they actually change anything in it?
Nothing important, the value was changed from 5 to 6 for block Online Play in older Firmwares via checking the friends-sysmodule in the server after a maintenace to do that new value check and block Online Play in older firmwares than 11.0 via friends-sysmodule checking.

Don"t say bye to Homebrew, since you can use Spoof Online, why are you going to update before Homebrew can be fixed to 11.0?.
You can wait whitout problems at the moment.

what took N so long? by now 99.9% of cfw users use A9LH they're basicly screwed as in trying to get already hacked 3ds Sysnand updated (Unless they have a secret door to get past emuNAND and update sysnand directly) which i find highly unlikely

11.0 can be downgraded with hardmod.
