This one appears to be permanently patched, they removed svcBackdoor for arm11 entirely. Which also means things like gpSP won't work unless you use the NTR firmware.bin (10.2 firmware.bin).

Of course there may be other arm11 kernel exploits in the future but that will most likely take a while.

As of now all public methods of downgrading (besides hardmod) will not work. It could be hours, days, months, or even years before we get another downgrade method. No one thought you could use gateway on 9.2 about a year ago, let alone downgrade from the most recent firmware to an exploitable firmware. So hopefully soon™

Downgrading is still possible if you haven't updated your 3DS yet lol, otherwise just wait until a solution is found. If you have A9LH already you wouldn't even need to downgrade though ;)

Remember when it was gone with 10.4? Then gone with 10.5? Then gone with 10.6? Then gone with 10.7?
Yeah, those went over well.
Remember when 10.4 to 10.7 had very minimal changes between each update? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Actually, 10.4 to 10.7 were all the same native_firm. Otherwise, they only patched out the browserhax entrypoint.
My point still stands, just because they've patched out the exploit for now, there's always bound to be an exploit to be found at some point.

Well, of course. I remember when people thought 10.4 broke downgrading.

Nope, won't happen ever, OP's 3ds is useless, you guys should stop giving him false hope :(

On a more serious note, this thread is a joke, few hours after release and you expect anyone to know if downgrading is gone for good?

Yeah, this was more of a way of seeing if the hysteria is true, or just misinformation (like OOTHax being dead).

You MUST be new here. :creep:

Oothax/cnhax no longer working isn't misinformation, ninty added custom code to loader to make it no longer work. Now, will it be fixed? Sure, given time. But right now it doesn't.

However the confusion is understandable since most modern cfw uses a custom loader so oothax/ninjahax will work on 11.0 provided you are on cfw.

Wait, does this apply to A9LH users too?

Yes, anything that uses svcBackdoor will break which apparently includes emulators with dynarec. But if you aren't already using the 10.2 firmware.bin with your cfw (which anyone using NTR already is) doing so apparently fixes it.
