Since there doesn't appear to be a hard coded limit, I would guess the actual limit would be 2TB but the only way to know for sure would be to either reverse engineer the firmware or to build a sata hdd to sd adapter which currently don't exist.

Since the Wii U is capable of reading SD/SDHC/SDXC, I would assume the limit is as high as SDXC can go. When the Wii was announced, the only thing that stopped it from reading 4GB+ cards was the software couldn't read SDHC, they later patched this with 4.0 firmware...I would say you aren't going to have a problem with SD cards for the Wii U considering it can read SDXC cards and WHEN we get a full IOSU hack, people will favor external USB hard drives due to their cheaper costs per GB....(Sandisk has a 200GB card for $80 on Amazon right now...for $80, you can get at least 1TB if not more in an external hard drive

Dumb question. What program are you all using to format FAT32 and specify a 64kb cluster size?

Also, is that the best thing to do? 64kb cluster size instead of 32?

I think im blind sometimes. Thanks a ton!

I wonder if it would be worth it to compile speed and loading reports of different SD cards?

I am going to buy a larger SD card for my Wii.
Is there a max size? Does the class matter? Do both SDHC and SDXC cards work?

I am thinking of this 64Gb, Class 10, SDXC card from Kingston:

http://www.ebuyer.com/746044-kingston-64gb-class-10-uhs-1-45mb-s-read-sdxc-flash-card-sd10vg2-64gb

or even this 128gb, also Kingston

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-F...&qid=1462787037&sr=8-1&keywords=128gb+sd+card

That Kingston is the exact one I bought the other day & it works a treat!! I used fat32formatter to format to fat32 64 cluster, haven't had any issue with it at all.
