That's pretty cool, it seems that the character IDs line up with the 3DS one. I don't know why they wouldn't but it makes it easier than going through and testing them all again.

Though I can't really see a way to add new CSS entries, so it might take a bit to get that going.

Does this mean a Clone Engine is theoretically possible?

Did you check to see if the parameter editor corrupts the file upon saving? Save the file with no edits and reopen it.
I know for a fact that the parameter editor corrupts the ui_stage_db.bin file after saving it and crashes the WiiU if you try to load it. The only option is to manually hex edit the file.

Yep, I checked and saved ui_sound_db.bin in param editor without doing any edits and opened it back up, it gets corrupted. So I guess hex editing is the way to go, though problem is I have no idea where in hex the location for the number of tracks on a stage are. Halfway through the list, I think everything that is in Group[3] in param editor appears as they have SOUND13 and all those things down the list.

A new version of Sm4shexplorer will allow us to add extra tracks. It'll be released soon.

Here's the thing that has been bugging me to no end. How would I add on to a patch? I want to use TS4M's mod pack alongside a song titles file I edited, but IDK how to do that. I tried dragging and dropping the files from his RAR over the open directories in Sm4shExplorer, but Sm4shExplorer doesn't like that.
Hate to repeat myself. I wanted to add that some mods are also "packed." IDK how I would go adding them alongside the hacks I want to put in.
Repeating myself again. Sorry. I really need an answer to this

Over WiFi, it took me about half a day to dump everything. I just set it up when I got out of bed, ran some errands, and come lunchtime it was finished.

Not only is downloading gonna take much longer, but it's against some laws or something.
It only took me about 6-8 hours to download the game via torrent. I mean, I own the game already, so...

I tried using the ID fix method in TS4M's tutorial, but it lagged my computer to hell and I have no idea what means it's done or not. Any alternatives?

what's the best way to get ONLY the Ganon mods without causing issues? I tried just copying them but that caused the game to hang at the stage loading screen.

This is how. Helped me a lot. When finished put directory SD:\0005000010144F00\sound\bgm\[NAME].nus3bank

Well that explains that, then. The last tutorial I saw said to put "0x0" at the end rather than just "0".
So if c00 is the model, what are c01, c02, etc. used for? Are they, like, alternate colours?
Yup. In the order that they are on the character select (so visit your character's ssbwiki page to be sure about which one you're replacing)
you must open your dump with sm4sh explorer, in data>fighter>mewtwo>model>c00>
you must replace the model.nut by the one posted, after that you must clic on compile,it will make patch files in the folderexport>release, copy all of them il the folder of the sd card : SD>[id]>patch
Wait, so what are patch files if they're not .nut/.nud files? I have a bunch of .nut/.nud skins in patch/data/fighter (example: SD\[ID]\patch\data\fighter\lizardon\model\body\c08\model.nud) but they won't load ingame.

There is a dirty way (the one i used), you need to copy the game (without the patch foder) to another folder, once is done you put the mods in the new copy, open it with smashexplorer, and you now see what is inside the packed folders and extract them.

I hope works for you.

TS4M's texture modding tutorial states that CSPs are located in UI/append/chr, but I don't have a directory that looks like that in Sm4shExplorer. Anyone else know the real filepath?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it at UI/replace/append/chr/ for DLC characters and UI/replace/chr for base roster.

Since I don't have the game files right now, could you perhaps tell where ui_stage_db.bin and the fighter folder are?

The fighter folder is just /data/fighter, and the ui_stage_db.bin is in data(us_en)/param/ui/
That's odd... I've got my texture mods in SD/patch/data/fighter, but they wouldn't load ingame. Haven't tested ui_stage_db yet.

You have to compile them in sm4shexplorer. The files sm4shexplorer creates are what tells the game to look on the SD card.

Ooooh. I don't need the game files to compile mods right? Just wanna be 100% sure.

You do need the files. Texture modding is different than it was in Brawl. You can't just put files on the SD card. You're basically creating a new patch file for the game to load, and that file tells the system to load the files off the card. In order to create a patchfile, you need the actual game files.

Oh, darn. Welp, time to figure that out...
