Can't FBI install a newer version over itself while in use? If not, how do people normally go about upgrading to the latest version of FBI? Through HBL?

I use FBI 1.4.17 injected into the H&S app to install newer versions of FBI. I hope the speed difference can be figured out. No idea why 2.x is slower for some.

@Steveice10 would it be possible for you to add in this program detailed ticket information? I've got a lot of tickets that I need to get rid of and a couple of others experimenting with TIKdevil are in the same boat lol.

If you mean actual title info like the name, icon, etc., I can't get those from the ticket itself. I've toyed with pulling the information from Nintendo's eShop servers, but it was way too slow, and I'm not too sure I want to be using a hardcoded list of title metadata that would need constant updating.

That's understandable, but would just showing the name and region make it any simpler? I'm just having trouble telling eShop tickets from homebrew and developer/system tickets and I don't want to accidentally delete the wrong one while I'm sifting through it.
Would you maybe be able to add in a feature to select multiple files and delete/copy/cut the selected files? Sorry, I don't mean to ask too much of you lol

Network installation does not seem to be working for me with the latest version. I am using falconpuncher to install. Any Ideas?

Install failed!
Source: SOURCE_FSFILE_WRITE (0x1c)
Module: MODULE_MM_AM (0x20)
Level: LEVEL_PERMANENT (0x1b)
Summary: SUMMARY_INVALID_AUGUMENT (0x7)
Description: DESCRIPTION_INVALID_SIGNATURE (0x6a)

I can't get into Omega Ruby with error asking me to turn it off.
So I deleted it and downloaded a LEGIT RG cia from internet and tried, after several tries same error returned.
Wonder why

I use FBI 2.1.1 and when I install big CIA (above 500MB) FBI would freeze when the progress bar is around 2/3. Anyway to fix it? And yes sometimes I waited long enough then hold the power button to reset it then the new game is there on the home menu for me to unwrap but then it is pretty troublesome. Anyway to fix it?

Upgrade to FBI 2.2.1

ah yes sorry I mistook the 2.2.1 with 2.1.1. I'm using 2.2.1 and the problem is pretty consistent with big CIAs.

how about looking at the titleID of the ticket, getting the info from an installed title, if there is any. atleast then you can probably locate a title based on if it's installed or not (it would show title ID instead of game name..?)

also when removing a ticket it should prompt you to uninstall the title, or vice-versa maybe. that way you don't have to go remembering a titleID and go through both menus when you wanna keep stuff clean/change a region for a title or something.

the game i just installed was over 3gb and it installed fine. are you sure you have enough free space on your sd card? when installing a cia off the sd card you need 2x the space so say the game is 2gb you would need 4gb of space.

Can I install DLC's via latest FBI, I read in some posts that open-source cia installers had problems installing DLC's, Themes etc.... because they had 3 or more something ????
I am asking this because I had read somewhere ( in the SOON 2 Thread, I think) that latest versions of FBI could install DLC's and themes.

I want to install smash DLC from that ISO site and did not want to use BBM for it (cause I don't trust it)

Off Topic :- Do I need to install the relevation dlc if I already have FE Fates special edition

P.S :- Pls don't call me a pirate cause I am poor, besides I also have many legit games.
