I have a US 3DS and I have a friend with a Japanese one. I'd like to play MK7 wirelessly with her, so I gave her a US cia and put a file in the locale folder forcing USA EN. Unfortunately the Japanese 3DS always says there's some error when she tries to connect wirelessly.

Is there a solution, or is this basically a lost cause?
you can just give her the JP CIA and you can play wireless locally. i believe MK7 is international.

As in a mod of the Luma payload loader or a mod of a different bootmanager? I'd prefer to avoid switching to a new bootmanager.

That's not really a solution because that would require me to add those files back/replace arm9loaderhax.bin if ever I needed one of the payloads (or needed to access the settings) which is just ridiculously inconvenient.
just a another bootmanager. and I'm very sorry, I can not find the release thread for the bootmanger. and also still I can not remind the name. sorry.

i 'reinstalled' luma3ds, the only firm file i have is the one for ntr, in the luma folder.
i changed the path, but dsiware is still not working for me. i'm on emunand, n3ds, 10.7
does anyone have this working ok?

Is your DSiware also installed in sysnand ? It should be.

I'm using MSET because I'm lazy. :bortz:
So I guess this is not possible?
If yes I'll probably have to check the others entry points! ^^

so no matter what, i need the dsiware installed in sysnand too?
we still haven't gotten past this limitation? that's a shame
i'll convert to sysnand i guess but i'm waiting for gw, i like their cheats :)

Actually, MSET entrypoint should work with the .dat. But anyway, check out the a9lh guide (Plailect's one), you should really think about it.

I don't think this limitation will be overcome one day. The 3DS has to reboot into GBA/DSi mode to launch these games, so emunand is not usable.
Anyway, install them on both, and keep your emunand. It works that way.

my stuff is on eshop, so i will have to use my tools to dump a cia, haha :D

it would be great if luma would support installing of personal legit cias.

@Aurora Wright - do you have any idea on why cias that have a console id in the ticket do not install?
but as soon as we edit (and break the signatures) of the ticket's console id to 00000000, it installs?
because of this problem, we cannot install 'personal legit' cias, that FunkyCIA creates.
is there some check happening in the fw that doesn't allow cias with that contain a console id?
any information is welcome :) thanks

Hey guys Zmea
just install a9lh with safea9lhinstaller. Switched on my 3ds but showsshows a black screen. Tried trouble shooting and was able to open decrypt 9

What should I do?

Did you install Luma3DS? (put arm9loaderhax.bin at the root of your sdcard and create a luma folder)

No worries, thanks for the heads up though! I think I know the one you're talking about but yeah I think it would be nice for Luma to have the functionality built in too.

Cheers everything just works so no need for me to mess around. Was just interested if anything new had cropped up in the arm9 scene.

Awesome to see CPU clock patches and region free in Luma now, no need for me to use NTR.

So I updated to @Aurora Wright arm9hax noscreeninit because why not? After I seen how easy things were to update with safea9lhinstaller I just done it. All is well. Not interested in boot screens, a nice vanilla bootup is all I need.

Slightly OT but what is the easiest way to delete an emunand? I don't need to wipe SDcard do I? Really have no need for it anymore.
