You need to patch the ARN binary using Aurora's path tool. Please read the wiki.

Eh, fixed this by making CtrBootManager9 my main bootloader.

What do you mean making it your main bootloader? I tried renaming every single file, config, even the path to luma/luma3ds.bin and still got black screen with ctrbm9

I changed the path for Luma to Luma3DS.bin, then replaced the "arm9loaderhax.bin" for Luma3DS with the arm9loaderhax.bin from CtrBootManager.
Also I am lazy slut and downloaded a path changed version from here

Works perfectly for me!

You only need to pathedit the payload. You don't need to recompile it

If I can make 1 suggestion it would be to add the configuration file to the aurei/luma folder. I no you may not want to "hijack" someone else's folder but this is specifically made for this cfw so unless aurora cares that would be my 2 cents.
