Just imagine how much more stuff he'll be able to test himself too :P then i won't always have to bug you or Soneek to test for me, i'll just throw it at LL heh

Would it be a good idea to ask MN1 for the exploit as well? All I have made a few voicepacks for different characters and I want to continue doing more characters (ex. English Cloud)
I have one guy testing for me (Dead_MK, great guy. Follow him on twitter :) ) but we live in different timezones so it takes a while to find any bugs or inconsistencies.
There is video of proof of my work on his channel.

Not sure what mn1 and co. are looking for with regards to it to be honest. The reason people from our group have been asking is mainly because we're doing alot of work pushing the boundaries of sm4sh hacking. Up til now i've only been able to develop my tools and such through RE'ing the files + looking through the RPX functions for them and then throwing them at someone with the sploit to test it. That's pretty much how my moveset editor, param editor, and pack manager came to be. The next thing i want to do is the last step in moveset hacking, MSC, which is quite complex and according to Dant is parsed into an intermediary format in memory after being read.

i'd also like to write an SD file loader ala SaltySD for the WiiU but last i checked we didn't have anything like breakpoints on WiiU. Even if there was however, it'd have to be a direct modification of the rpx. It'd be much nicer if we could do ASM injections via a codehandler like Gecko OS on wii. (maybe i could write a port? dunno if that's possible or not)

Wouldn't the ELF Loader work?

Wouldn't the ELF Loader work?
Possibly. I think i remember something about Dant theorizing that it could be possible to patch the RPX with just the elf loader, even from userland. If that is indeed the case, then i can just do that. In the future however, i'd still like to write some homebrew port of Gecko OS just to bolster the modding community since everyone moving from brawl hacking to sm4sh hacking would be extremely experienced with it's codehandler, but im not too certain when i'll be able to get around to that

@NWPlayer123 You think my contributions would sufficient for consideration of private access to the 5.5.x kernal exploit?

@Marionumber1 shot you a pm with a good amount of info. If you need more proof, just ask.
I did the mistake of telling mn1 i wanted to also port unlock dlc codes for smash to us from pal and never heard from him again. Lol.
He doesnt like piracy...
But than again he might be too busy.
Oh, and Yes deathwolf has the latest unlock dlc codes for pal sm4sh in the codes thread. But i want to make it better and fully unlock the character select screen

Telling someone that you're gonna pirate stuff is a bad idea lol.

But nah, I just make high quality mods.

I edited ui_character_db.bin to make Greninja have 9 alts instead of 8. Then I added c08 and h08 in his model but when I select the alt in game it just load regular greninja. What step did I miss?

Just to be clear, I can select the 9th alt, it's just a red X on black background.

Character itself has a param for how many costumes it has, without that changed it'll just wrap around load normal costume. I don't know exactly which param it is, however @thatsmash4modder does. He was able to add completely new costumes to characters

i wonder if someone know the link of a pack with all the softwares required for sm4sh wii u hacking to download
because i'm lost with the high number of different softwares

That would cool. Im also interested in this. Want to put in more texture mods without replacing any of the existing costumes.
