How do i do that wihout using any pc app? And i already have fbi installed as a cia. I also have an earlier version as a 3dsx

Using Decrypt9: https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases

you can dump your health and safety app. If you have Emunand installed already select it then click dump health and safety.
press B
Select Sysnand and dump using the same method dump from sysnand
It will ask you to name them as they are made I like the hs_sys.app and hs_emu.app
These files will be on the root of your SD card.
At the main screen press select to unmount your SD card
After that pull your SD from the system MAKING SURE NOT TO HIT B
plug that bad boy into a computer for this next part.

For the sake of sanity just make a folder on the desktop called HS and put all the following here
grab the hs_sys.app from your SD and the hs_emu.app put them in HS
It is super easy, running in windows use: https://github.com/Shadowtrance/Universal-Inject-Generator-Csharp/releases
Extract the program for windows with the read me if you want.
Then grab 1.4.17 FBI here: https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases/download/1.4.17/FBI.zip
open the FBI.zip
all you want is the file FBI.cia and put it into the HS folder
When you are done it will look like HS folder screen shot on the bottom of this post.
Rename hs_sys.app to hs.app
Run the windows program
It will validate the HS dump if correct it will say so and proceed
click OK and you will get a DONE message with 2 more files in the folder when you click exit
Go into the HS folder you will have FBI_inject_no_banner and FBI_with _banner. Rename witch ever file you want to use for the hs_sys.app and rename hs.app to hs_sys_old.app
Copy that to your SD card after deleting the old hs_sys.app
Repeat the very same process for hs_emu.app

After you are done eject the card from windows and plug it back into your 3ds
Go back to the sysnand option selecting inject.
Do the same for the Emunand option.
after you do both press start to reboot and then you are done

HS will now boot FBI 1.4.17 from minipasta sysnand or any CFW emunand

As a note 2.0.+ will not work for the inject only 1.4.17

enjoy

It would be awesome if the titles list could be shown by "Recently installed titles", which would make it INCREDIBLY useful for deleting things you've recently installed, instead of having to find it in the big mess of randomly shown titles.

There is no indicator of when something was installed. And it's not random, it's sorted by title ID.

Not to bash on your incredible work or anything. I just thought it'd be possible since NASA does just that for it's title list. I do LOVE how FBI 2.0.1 shows pictures along with the exact name of the title. It's a little more difficult to look through when you have a lot of titles. But I can see how it's sorted by title ID, since the older FBI was this way.

I was just delusional when I first saw it, I thought of it as a revolutionary way to delete titles. But what it really is, is the same title list as before but now easier to see what things out without looking them up on 3DSDB. It's still useful as a "title manager", it's my fault for having a 128 GB SD : p
Even system setting's data management shows the titles by "Recently installed"

I'm just spoiled by apps like JK Save Manager which can display the titles by name. What we do need is a dedicated title manager app that shows the list of titles so that we could delete whatever we don't want. That app would be best if everything was shown in ABC order. Because right now there's a bit of work we have to do in order to delete even one single app. Mostly through system settings which takes forever to load up all the titles.

If only you could rip off a piece of FBI, dedicate it to displaying titles a specific way, and rename the app to title manager or something like that so then we'd have both FBI, and Title Manager. But now I'm just being silly here!

While using the new FBI try switching between sd and sysNAND (NAND).

Edit: It could be that the theme got installed on sysnand, which is not what you want to happen (unless you are using a9lh)

FBI has been updated to v2.0.2.
  • Add option to delete CIA files as they're installed.
  • Automatically determine the appropriate destination for CIA installations.
  • Replaced "." and ".." in directory listings with pressing Y for directory actions.
  • Add support for text color configuration in themes.
  • Display DS banner icons at 1:1 scale.
  • Switch to svchax for improved 3DSX stability.
  • Fix the installation of DLC (and possibly other titles).
  • Fix resetting network install status between connections.

The 3dsx version is more stable than my 10.7 home menu!

In all seriousness, great work. If this can install CIAs now, I can finally get rid of devmenu!

Was the feature removed or is it just currently broken? If the latter, did 2.0.2 fix it?
The way I understand it FBI2 has more permissions needed than what the H&S app will allow, while FBI 1.4.17 had less, therefore it won't inject into H&S because it's "permissions" are not compatible.

The injected into H&S was only a stepping stone anyways and FBI was not meant to stay installed into H&S. If you want FBI2 then just install it the way you would any other CIA.
