Technically. They're the definition of shady. So are those ISO sites classed as backalley forums then?
I'm not bashing it though (even if it deserve it to an extent for the host-shilling tactics.)

Only if you're dumb and just blindly execute whatever you download. It's probably not a good idea to run "imadolphinnotavirus.exe".putting yourself at a much higher risk for malware/viruses
By the time you'll be able to get them, there'll probably be a new console out. It's unfortunate that it's really looked down upon because I am hoping that one day that I can finally sign up to the Nintendo Developer Portal and get the latest SDK and Unity for N3DS for personal uses, and then somehow share my projects with the world. But I'm too goddamn young to be doing that officially yet, and I'm so tired of developing for freeware now (PC and mobile mostly; been doing it for a couple of years now), so that's why I tend to look out for, and use, the official console stuff like this, and hope I can make some good stuff with it. And then like me and others have said, there's just no way to easily share those said projects on the web.
TL;DR, Laws surrounding technology are shit sometimes.![]()
That's what I was thinking you see. If it's portable, I would still happily make games for it though.By the time you'll be able to get them, there'll probably be a new console out.
heh, we'll see... depends if I can post them as anonymous as possible if that makes any sense...Either way, get the SDK and Unity for it... then leak them.
Step 1: make anonymous account at... whatever it'll be called. You can guess. That's what I was thinking you see. If it's portable, I would still happily make games for it though.

I'd no doubt have to use a good, decent proxy/VPN as well, if I don't want my real IP address traced too.Step 1: make anonymous account at... whatever it'll be called. You can guess.
Step 2: remove identifying info from SDK/Unity tools, if possible.
Step 3: upload and post
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit

Lol I don't even have access to the dev site, you know.If you'll ever have access to the official devkit PLEASE don't ever try to leak it. You clearly don't know what you are talking about if you think that a proxy is enough to cover you and this is going to put you and your parents in a massive shitstorm you'll remember for your entire life.
Leaking a devkit after signing an NDA is not the same as dumping your Zelda cartridge and posting it on that iso site.

The consequences in US law (I can't see your flag on mobile) would be up to a $250,000 fine and/or up to 5 years in jail per occurrance. I don't think that's something you should chance.Lol I don't even have access to the dev site, you know.
Jesus, there's no need to get so overprotective about me. I do as I please. I know you are trying to give me advice, but at the end of the day, it's my decision whether I want to leak it or not. Stop worrying.
Did he actually signed the NDA? He has to be the original source of the leaks to be held liable for breaking NDA. There doesn't seem to be a way to confirm this.right, let me ask you all a little something. Why is it that Ryanrocks462 leaks nearly all of the Wii U dev stuff, and he never gets fined or anything?
He signed the developer.nintendo.com NDA. I'm not too sure about the wiiu-developers.nintendo.com NDA. I don't think so; I think he uses Huntereb's account for the WiiU-specific stuff. He's officially signed up to developer.nintendo, I definitely know that. (But is the same Wii U software hosted on wiiu-developers.nintendo the same software as the Wii U stuff on developer.nintendo?)Did he actually signed the NDA? this isn't a thing, and even if it was nintendo wouldn't let you distribute anything thru any channels but the official ones (and likely at a price no homebrew devs would be able to afford).I am hoping that one day that I can finally sign up to the Nintendo Developer Portal and get the latest SDK and Unity for N3DS for personal uses

That's rather presumptuous of you. I'm certain there are devs that could afford whatever it would cost, especially since a lot of them purchase multiple systems just for development.(and likely at a price no homebrew devs would be able to afford)
??? please explain that in more detail. There are members here who are signed up to there, so why shouldn't I?this isn't a thing

About what I'd expected.Ryan is not an official developer by any means. He's getting all the developer stuff by proxy. I know because he approached me about it a while ago asking if I would help him out with that and I told him absolutely not because I don't want to screw up my career and/or end up in prison. I'm sure he's getting it from someone else though
