Hardware Hardmodding Question.

Well, to make this simple, I was reading a guide which shows a recommended cable and connectors..
My simple question is, would a different connector variant work? I mean where I live I just can't find that type of connector listed, but I do have access to several others, I mean, I guess any cable with 4 pins would work, rite ?

Local electronic store. it's just default stuff that you can get pretty much anywhere they sell LED strips. check led websites in japan, should be easy find
