Could someone help. I tried the tutorial but I am stuck. Could someone simplify this?

I'm actually interested in a tutorial on this myself. I know how to do it, but not without getting mixed up on a few steps here and there.

Well, it actually really easy:
0.Get homebrew on new sd card
1. Format emuNAND on new SD card with gateway or emuNAND9
2. Extract emuNAND from old sd card with emuNAND9 or emuNAND tool 9I prefer emuNAND tool)
3. Inject old SD card emuNAND in the new one
4. Copy paste all content of old SD card in the new
5. You are done!

1) Open Emunand9 and dump your emunand to emunand.bin
2) Look for SD options and choose the option to format SD with space for an emunand. Or better yet, choose the option format with space for a redNAND unless you're using Gateway.
3) It will give you the option to switch SD cards before doing the reformat. Put in the new SD card that you plan to use with the 3ds, and tell it to format with space for a rednand.
4) press select to unmount the SD card. go to your pc and copy everything from the old card to the new card, including emunand.bin
5) put the new card back into your 3ds and inject emunand.bin to rednand.

I formatted a new emunand on another SD card then imported the old one to the new one. That was as simple as I could do it. You also need to drop your nintendo folder onto the new SD card so it can boot menuhax granted that is how you get into CFW.

Thanks! I am helping someone who has this issue and now we can fix it I guess?

THIS is the new guide I'm gonna be bookmarking and referring to! I knew you could use emunand9 to simplify things, but I wasn't sure how until now.

Mind telling me what RedNand is? I only heard that it uses up less space on the SD, but is that all there is to it?
And can I inject a regular emunand backup, into a rednand?

That's all there is to it. It's incompatible with Gateway though if that matters to you.

And yeah you can inject an emunand bin into a rednand sd card.

I'm getting an error :(

I am so confused right now.

That's a shame. If only I knew what the error was or which part of the process the error occurred during. :(
Let me post it

-------
Writing new master boot record...
Formatting Fat partition...
Unknown error/Something went wrong here
Format this SD card from your PC first then try this again

Complete Emunand Setup: Failed!
-------
That is step 1 :(

That's kinda odd. Does the card have the write-lock tab switched by accident?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also you want to make the emunand backup first and not format anything until step 3. And you wanna format the new card and not the old card.

Unknown or CCorrupt file system

I had this problem before, the SD Card reader in the 3DS did not like the SD Card I had and no matter what, It could read but not format it.
the only fix was to use a different SD card.
