Hey guys,

I got a used PS4 which has clearly been opened, it worked fine but now when I moved it and plugged the HDMI back in, i get either:

"No signal"
or if i mess around with the cable and the PS4 itself I get the sound of the menu etc. However no picture on the screen.

Could anybody recommend me any tips? Thanks!

Switch HDMI ports? (to and from TV), try a different cord? reset video settings? Is the cord actually inserted into the PS4 all the way?

Thanks all, I have switched cables and tried the reset, if i jiggle the cable in the socket slightly i get all kinds of pretty colours. :rofl2:
I think the port has a problem, I found the thing where you press down the metal in the port but I dont think its that. Ill keep poking away!

Note: I managed to finally get it working by kind of pulling away from the board. I will now install Remote Play on Mac so I never need to worry about that again. :toot:

Bro. I don't even have to read the reviews. The price turns me off.
just read them..
you will not regret..
apparently this cable increases the flux capacitor pixels on your toaster and you will be able to improve games fps above what they output or something like that..

heres a quote:

Nowhere in the documentation did it specify where to hook the cable up to the NES. I was about to give up but I noticed a cover on the bottom of the Nintendo. It turns out that this is where the expansion port is located which is where you connect the HDMI cable. I hooked the other end up to the TV and fired up the NES. Unfortunately, I didn't get a video signal. After much experimentation I figured it out. To get HD output from an NES you have to hook up the analog outputs as well. Apparently the TV combines these two signals to form an image. And what an image! The blacks were so deep that it desaturated all the color from my living room furniture! I had been meaning to apply a darker stain to my coffee table and now I don't have to!

Top reviews
It's ok I get a few more channels on my microwave but I would probably knock a buck or two off the price

was amazed at the power this cable has. It worked perfectly on my super high def wall hung flat screen LECD Plasma monitor.
But wait. Believe it or not, with a few minor modifications (aluminum foil, epoxy, etc) I now have perfect 1080p images on my toaster oven! So cool!
Next step? Modify to plug into my old-school Pegasus Equine Shield.
Pics when I finish!
OK, I know, some of you are thinking, this is a digital cable, and that HDMI standards have checksums and parity bits and such to make sure that the digital digits being received by your TV are identical to the digits sent by your player... so that therefore there should be no difference between a $10 digital cable and a $1,000 one... BUT:
THIS digital cable is special! Somehow, it smoooooths those pesky digits, making the 0s a little rounder, and the 1s a bit less pointy on top. This results in increased pacing and slam, with less graininess!
Pop this puppy on your DVD player and tell me I'm wrong! Well, after you re-attach your head because it will have been blown away!
Thank you for bringing happiness to my day. I love the internet xD

Part 2

My 'Steve Harvey Show' TiVo recordings look like pure American currency when transfered through this 3.3-foot HDMI. I imagine this would be Heaven is like.

Did I mention when you watch 'The New Girl' you can see the pores on Zooey Deschannel's forehead? Mamma mia - me likey.

Yeah I was going to tell you how earlier PS4's had a HDMI port issue. I guess one of the metal plugs is bent and you can't plug the entire cord in? It's possible that's the issue.

Oddly I cant tell if its in "enough".. If i push it it doesn't go in further or help display a signal. I tried switching cables to a more slimline one where the plastic meets the cable too.. To no avail.. Just a very odd problem! I updated to 3.50 and without moving it its back to no signal.. But the system light is white which doesnt tally with the HDMI fail behaviour.. Odd

Could anyone advise me, if their port looks at all like this? I keep seeing videos for bending the metal but mine looks different..
My date code is 5b which is April/M/June 2015 manufacture apparently?

Thanks in advance!
