Hi everybody.

Over the last week i have managed to safely softmod a couple of Wii's i had lying around doing nothing. I used the Letterbomb method which was pretty straight forward. I have cfg usb loader running with no problems at all and i also have Nintendont running with no problem's. However if i try and load a Gamecube game from the cfg usb loader game screen, nintendont loads up but with the error "Kernel failed to load NAND" appearing on the screen and then exiting to the homebrew channel.

I have tried finding info on this but to no avail. All the info i found is related to the error appearing when running nintendont alone. I dont have a problem running nintendont on its own. Its only when choosing a game via cfg usb loader that the error appears. What i did also find was some posts in a forum about people having the same issue as me and the only way to load Gamecube games from a usb loader is to use something else like usb loader gx which i installed on my second softmodded Wii and Nintendont works fine with it, but i hate the look of this loader as i have been using cfg usb loader for years.

Has anyone managed to get cfg usb loader and nintendont to work side by side???

I am using 70r78. Its not from the link you posted. Should i try one of the versions that are on the link you posted?? I have tried 3 games so far. They are MarioKart Double Dash, Rocky, and Spiderman. Nintendont loads these games when used on its own, but when i am using cfg usb loader to run these games, i get the Kernel failed to load NAND error in Nintendont.

AaronZ, i just downloaded 70r78.10 and tried it. Nintendont still gives me the Nand error. I have read some posts in forums were people have had to use a different USB loader because of this problem. Maybe i need to do the same?

This problem normally happens when you don't have the meta.xml file on your nintendont folder.
But when I run GC games through CFG it always create a meta.xml file on the root of device

So check your nintendont folder and copy meta.xml into your SD and USB root (don't remove meta.xml from nintendont folder, just copy)

see if it works

if you don't have meta.xml file, you can download from here

i found the soultion on a spanish website and made an account to help, because i was trying to figure it out for like 2 weeks. You need ahb access on nintendont xml file and cfg usb loader xml file.
this worked on the first wii i modded, when launching cfg usb loader from USBLoaderCFG_Forwarder-UCXF but it didn't on the second one, it was still giving me the failed to load kernel from nand when launching from same forwarder, after ahb access was added on xml's. on the second one i didnt back up the nand or install priiloader. so i did a nand backup with bootmii and installed priiloader. i also turned on autoboot setting and allowed memory emulation on nintendont 379 version, to see if it would help. it didn't. but i noticed when i launched cfg loader from homebrew channel, gamecube games would boot from cfg loader without a problem. so i changed my forwarder to USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v12 Glass. and it worked . now i can launch gc games from within cfg usb loader using a forwarder. i don't know what did it exactly but it works. when i pin point the solution . i will post it. also i'm using a wiimote with motion plus and nunchuck. i noticed when nunchuck wasn't installed some games gave errors.

I just updated my forwarder with the one you mentioned and now everything is working as expected, thank you very much!

I created an account here just to tell you guys that the USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v12 Glass file saved me from a 72 hour nightmare filled with billions of google searches and Wii hard resets. Thank you.

Hi guys,
I'm kindda stranger to this wii hack world i'm actually working on a wii my brother already cracked few years ago. I'm triyng to get the super smash bross melee 20XX game to train. But when i launch it in the homebrew channel with the nintendont on my SD card i get the same error message as you.
So could someone explain me where i can find the "forwarder" i actually have and switch it for the "USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v12 Glass" one?
Thanks a lot

It's listed in the CFG Loader forwarder thread. https://gbatemp.net/threads/official-cfg-loader-forwarder.275487/

It sounds more like you have an old app somewhere, either CFG or Nintendont.

To be honest, CFG hasn't been updated in years. I would try USB Loader GX or WiiFlow. Even WiiFlow has only received a few updates in the past couple of years.
