New scripts, .sh for *nix users and cleaned up and streamlined code for Windows with failsafes in case the files already exist(i.e. it will delete existing anim or bottom_anim files in the directory) As always you need ffmpeg. Preferably from the actual ffmpeg website.
Edit: sh now has the autodelete

Can't wait til people post pre-made animated boot screens around here. Also keep up the good work developing and updating this OP
Funny to think that the project has gone so far in less than 24 hours :p. BTW, I'm looking for someone to maintain a 'Custom Boot Animation' thread.
Whoever's interested, please PM me.

i wouldnt get too ahead of yourself. right now this is too complicated.

ive tried 0.2 0.3 and 0.3.1 and can only get the topscreen animation to display, and it always hangs after the animation.

i'm on 2.0 and i got em both, flawlessly everytime

what is the maximum duration for the boot ?
Assuming 30 fps and a 4GB file size limit the limit would be 497 seconds. Of course, that's a bit ridiculous.

@Shirako what are you talking about? The animation included in the distribution is about 4-5 seconds, and you can build your own if you want to

v0.2 as well? Try creating a small 10fps animation and try v0.1
