Because there is No Update for the Game
So, does that mean that the JPN release does have an update?

According to the Title Database, EUR and USA are at v81 and are available on the CDN. Aren't the initial releases at v0?

Also... Other than the "meta.xml", are there files in the "meta" folder that differ between regions?

How would I go about getting the EUR and USA "meta" folders from NUS?

EDIT: USA works!...

I just want to give @Maschell a BIG thank you for developing this tool.
This has helped me download update files on mac without issues.
(i was originally using parallels to emulate windows and NUS would take forever.)

This is such a quick and easy tool, this needs to be stickied ASAP.
Thanks again.

P.S.: I second implementing an automatic update for the .csv file. (as long as it doesnt break mac compatibility :P)

Also a batched download would be a cool feature. Select the games you want to download updates for and hit download. The updates for all the games you selected would be downloaded.
Can save time from closing and reopening the app after every download.

Thanks @kingsora831 =) and thanks for the feedback @ you both!
At the moment you can select mutiple titles before clicking on a button (I should highlight the feature). This way you can easily download mutiple meta/encrypted files with one click. When you open the FST, it will open one windows for every update (but the logging is broken~). But I'll add that the updatechooser won't close when opening a fst.
An autoupdate is possible, but not my priority. I'll try what I can do ;)

So i can't find many games that i need the meta folder for in the list. Is it because i'm using the wrong server or they are just not added yet?

The answer to this is two-fold. Either one, or both, of these...
  1. The game you are looking for doesn't have an update.
  2. The game you are looking for hasn't been added to the CSV, yet.
If the game doesn't have an update, you won't be able to get its meta folder directly–you'll need to use the NUS Key to download the encrypted content for it (I think)...which leads to my question.

What are the steps needed for the NUS Key process?

Thanks, @Maschell Great tool, working fine on my Linux installation. I was just wondering, is it possible to have JNUSTool decrypt already downloaded and still encrypted files (from NUSGrabber)? Can it be directed to a folder containing the files and then just decrypting them, instead of re-downloading and decrypting on-the-fly?

Place them in a folder with the titleid and tmp_ as prefix (e.g. tmp_0005000E10110E00). Then just decrypt them normally.

It searches for the files the nusgrabber is creating. If you cant figure out the exact foldername, just start the download of the encrypted files via jnustool and the folser should be created. You can then copy the downloaded files from the nusgrabber into it

Installed Java 8 and uninstalled a previous Java version 6*.

Hi

If I try launch the app by double clicking it and I get a popup saying "Application Error - Unable to launch the application"

So now it's cool, I just tried "java -jar jnustool.jar" again, and it seems to have worked with that now, sry it didn't work earlier, but double clicking didn't work.

Thanks, I'm good now I think ;)

Edit: Double Clicking is working now, had to change it to run with javaw.exe

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
