Kinda suspicious that you'd dodge the question. Do you really have a bricked system, or are you just trying to validate your own point?
Wow. I don't want A9LH. Stop being so damn butthurt over it. Geez, you're as bad as PCMR. Yes btw, I did select the unbrick option and it didn't work. I do have the sysNAND backup too. It's really not worth the risk. If you only fuck around in emuNAND you don't need any of that stuff.

But, like I said. If you want CFW you need 9.2. A9LH? Not so much.
Nice cutting out the other part of my comment. You're a fucking troll. Piss off.

I know you selected the unbrick option, but my question was "Did you try taking out the SD card and see if it boots?"
Yes, I did that.... Now piss off anyway. THIS THREAD ISN'T ABOUT A9LH.
It's for people who want to decrease boot failures and times without using A9LH.

**ONLY TESTED ON N3DS**

I just thought I would share this with anyone on the fence about A9LH. Try this first and see if it works for you. Backstory: I had ReiNAND on my 3DS and random boot failures were common. Every 1 out of 3 boots would fail. I've had this for a week now and it's only failed to boot once (and I play a LOT of AGB_FIRM games).

What you need:
1) Menuhax_Manager 2.2 or greater.
2) CTR Boot Manager
3) AuReiNAND and it's required files.
4) Lesshax payload for your system model/version.
5) Homebrew starter kit and an entrypoint to start it.

Setup:
1) Use the entrypoint of your choice to install Menuhax.
2) Copy CTRBootManager to the root of your SD and rename it to "less.3dsx".
3) Go to the AuReiNAND download folder on your PC and find the "menuhax" folder. Enter it and rename "boot.3dsx" to "cfw.3dsx".
4) Set up AuReiNAND like normal and copy the "cfw.3dsx" to the root of your SD card.
5) Paste this into the "boot.cfg" file on your SD card.
boot_config :
{
timeout = 0;
autobootfix = 2;
recovery = 2;
default = 0;
entries = (
{
title = "AuReiNAND";
path = "/cfw.3dsx";
offset = "0x12000";
},
{
title = "HomeBrewMenu";
path = "/boot.3dsx";
} );
};
6) Replace the Menuhax payload with the Lesshax payload appropriate for your system/version.
7) Profit.

Hope this works for you! If not, you'll have to try A9LH. :D

Your boot.cfg layout does not work, as of matter of fact it can't even be saved as .cfg, at least not on Linux.

Hmm, I tried your method, but my boot rate seemed way worse than when I just had lesshax -> Reinand (not AuRei). It's weird how boot rate varies across consoles...

I got SHIT bootrate with my older SD Card. Then when I switched to a Samsung SDCard and got more or less 95% bootrate with Menuhax. So it might have something to do with the sdcard maybe?

I don't understand the logic behind this at all. Why are people running lesshax with hb loader and or menu hax?

Edit: I thought the whole point of lesshax was to remove any interference with the cfw.

Yeah, Lesshax was made to boot directly into the CFW. For example, using the boot.3dsx file from the menuhax folder in the AuReiNAND zip. Rename that to less.3dsx. You'll probably get better results.

I've been testing Reinand on 3 retail o3ds, a dev unit o3ds and a n3ds.. never experienced boot failure.. only failure was menuhax
I've had the rare boot failure, but for me like 95% of the time Reinand works. This is all with CtrBootManager set to boot automatically.

This is hard to recommend to my nooby friends, because AuRei/Rei is not region free. They install just about any region game and it would be annoying to not have their games show up until they use RegionFree Patcher each time. With rxTools, it's very noob friendly, being the only CFW with built in region free.

But other than that, lesshax is something I have them use. Lately I've been getting good boot rate with hax 2.6 much like lesshax though.
