If I download a cia of bravely Default (EU) and then buy a physical US copy of the game when it come out, is it possible to transfer it with a save manager even with the region being different?

I know for Fates at least I could transfer my JPN save to my USA game.

that's what I'm talking about. Games like monster hunter, the JPN save file is not same as US/EUR.

All the JPN game saves that I've tried have worked with their respective USA versions.

well, at least for MH4U, Mh4G save profile needs to modified before you import.

I think what usually causes incompatibility with Jap and US/EU saves are when Japanese characters are present in the Jap save, but not actually in the US/EU game. Something like that anyway. I think they can be edited to make them compatible, but that's about all I know. I did some looking up when I wanted to transfer my MH4G save to MH4U but came up with little.

I had forgot that MH4G JPN saves didn't work on USA systems, but that's the only example I can think of off the top of my head, and we found a way to transfer them. Bravely Second's EU version should transfer fine to USA.

Hmmmm I wonder if you could use JK's save manager and alter the save some how...

JK is like SDF, u still have to edit the dummy bytes in the save file. otherwise, the different offset will mess up your profile
