1. What can A9LH do, other than 100% boot rate?
2. If installing it has any risks, is it worth it? As I pretty much cannot get my system hard-modded since there's not many involved in the 3ds hacking scene here :/
3. If there's thread about this, a link please?

Here's my set-up: O3DSXL, sysNAND 9.2U, rxTools emuNAND 10.6U

-boot time only about 20sec
-100% boot rate
-update sysNAND without losing CFW (Aureinand)
-Decrypt9 usable
and yeah you must take risk many time to get the OTP (downgrading) also when install A9LH to Native_Firm
the thread you need is here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-compile-and-install-arm9loaderhax.415776/
also, the boot time depends on your sd/msd. for me, only takes 11s on 2DS, and 13s on N3DSLL(more game installed though). both cards are C10/U1:lol:

anyway, the a9lh is worth to take the risk...

Nice, might install it then :) But one last question, I read somewhere that you can un-brick your sysNAND(if it gets bricked) if you have A9LH installed. True? In that case, how? (Or any link) :)

Thanks.

well.... the a9lh can load up decrypt9, so you can easily use it to restore the normal nand.bin

In many cases you can unbrick your sysNAND. This is because you are able to launch Decrypt9 from a9lh, so as long as you still have a9lh access then you can restore you sysNAND.

My suggestion: Make a new nand backup after you successfully installed a9lh, so you can restore the pre-a9lh nand without taking the risk of brick your 3ds when install a9lh.:)
btw, please do keep the original one.:D

Okay... I think I got it now. Thanks :)
if you update your sysnand w/o the firm0/1 protection, you will lose a9lh and get stuck on a higher system version. you have to downgrade your 3ds if this happen

wow you get into emuNAND within 13 seconds on your n3ds?

mine takes about 20 seconds, i dont have that a9lh thingie..

i am a gw user , i have ReiNAND just in case on my n3ds, and i use gw emuNAND.
now i am wondering if that a9lh stuff will work for me hmm.

edit : my msd's are class10. on my og3ds i have RxTools and it boots slightly faster i would say within 15seconds.

well you see, i never really counted the seconds for either of my 3ds'es , but i guess my n3dsXL does take long.

i would think its about 20seconds.

*counting seconds now on booting my og3ds* i will look into that a9lh stuff

edit: holy cow, my og3ds takes about 25seconds to fully load, i have the coldboot set.
ctr to boot into RxTools.. mmmm

that a9lh i hope it also boots directly into emuNANDs? i shall look furtehr into it ..the speed thing is what makes me want to have a look at it. Arhg

It may not sound like much, but that 100% boot rate and ~10-15 second boot time is fantastic. I actually use it to boot into emuNAND under ReiNand (with sysNAND still on 9.2 in case I need arm9 access later on) and it works great.

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/OTP-Info
this one is the full guide for setup a stock 3ds to a9lh+cfw
the link you posted, it's the old manually compiling guide for getting a9lh.3dsx installer

alright sweet thanks, lastly what are the actual brick chances ? (i do have my sysNAND backups)

ouch ouch ouch, wait a sec. i am reading the guide, and i see that it is required for me to format emuNAND (at part4, since i dont need to the the first 3 parts as i already have emuNAND cfw etc. all set).

but in that part 4 someting called OTP, in those steps i see that i need to format emuNAND eh? well dayum i am way to lazy to re-install the whole games. =-='
