Hey all, was wondering, I can only find the homebrew loader that downloads the payload from http. Is there a homebrew loader cia that won't interfere with my payload? Thanks in advanced for replies!

The first time you launch it downloads the payload and then crashes. You need to launch it a second timeI've just tried that and it booted to a red and black flashing bottom screen. Any idea's?
I was preferably wanting to be able to boot it from the emunand homemenu as its not just for me but for a few friends too. What is your setup? Ctrbootmanager
Tried it. Says it downloaded the payload, then dumps to red/black screen. The first time you launch it downloads the payload and then crashes. You need to launch it a second time

Well shit. I've tried the hex edit the payload trick, I've tried using CTR buttons to boot once the payload goes through. Well shit.... I'm genuinely wondering why there isn't a full proper homebrew launcher from emunand in a proper all-in-one cia...Well there's the issue. You have CTRbootmanager. The hbloader CIA loads up you boot.3dsx which just makes it attempt to load CTRbootmanager again.
It won't work unless you edit the payload. (This is the reason why I decided not to use it and did not go any further with it)
Yellows8 HBL loader does what it is supposed to do. It loads boot.3dsx and he isn't to blame if you replace that with something else.Well shit. You have to edit the menuhax payload (the .bin file) on the root of your SD card.
Open it (you can use HxD editor for that) and search for 'boot.3dsx'. Change it to anything that also have four letters (I use CTRB.3dsx).
After that change the boot.3dsx from CtrBootManager to CTRB.3dsx. The boot_hb.3dsx shoukd be renamed to boot.3dsx. Don't forget to change your boot.cfg to reflect this (boot_hb to boot).
Yellows8 HBL loader does what it is supposed to do. It loads boot.3dsx and he isn't to blame if you replace that with something else.
So you have two possibilites. Either you name your HBL to boot.3dsx again, and rename your Ctrbootmanager to something else (like ctrb.3dsx) and then hexedit your menuhax payload to load ctrb instead of boot.3dsx - then yellows8 launcher will load HBL as intended. Or you edit the yellows8 payload that is downloaded to load whatever your HBL 3dsx is called at the moment.

I basically have no choice to. But its rather annoying, as if I do that, PhHex and PHBank don't detect my games.Honestly, for simplicity's sake, I would just keep it where you turn off the 3DS and boot Homebrew launcher from your CTRbootmanager. But that's just me and what I would do.

Ah... Yeah... Well if you absolutely need to use them right now then you will have to go through the whole process of setting up and editing payloads.I basically have no choice to. But its rather annoying, as if I do that, PhHex and PHBank don't detect my games.
Guess I'll have to wait so! Big shame that. Oh well! Thanks for the help folks!Ah... Yeah... Well if you absolutely need to use them right now then you will have to go through the whole process of setting up and editing payloads.
But if you can wait a CIA version of PCHex++ and PHBank are both in the works but with an undetermined release time.
It takes like two minutes to edit it the way you need it.Guess I'll have to wait so! Big shame that. Oh well! Thanks for the help folks!
Dude, I did as the guides said. It didn't work. At the very least I've found I can edit from a cart version, so that'll have to do for now.It takes like two minutes to edit it the way you need it.
If you are reluctant to do so, or just think you can't do it, then the fault's on you.
Then you did it wrong.Dude, I did as the guides said. It didn't work. At the very least I've found I can edit from a cart version, so that'll have to do for now.
