just tried to set up dns on my wii u and my ISP does not allow it and I was confused to why it didnt work on the 3ds until i tried it out on the wii u and went to the browser and had a page from the ISP saying it did not allow that is there any other way to block updates without dns

yesterday I found an post (don't know where), which said, that it's better to stay on 5.2.0 for IOSU exploit.
Maybe it was an old post ...cannot find it again, was randomly find.

That's old information. Naehrwert had been working in an IOSU Exploit that was only good for below 5.2.0, but it's toast. Hykem's is for 2.0.0 to 5.5.1+.

The only other way would be to MAC filter your Wii U's MAC Address Through your router. You won't be able to access the internet at all on it, but it will keep you from updating as well. Otherwise there's no other way if you can't use TubeHax DNS and/or URL filter.

there are several other ways such as run a wireless hotspot on your pc and set your pc firewall to block nintendo server

Hi Guys! I decided to spoof my fw to 5.5.1 only for just e-shop access. I read the instructions for it but for me it's not clear what sould i do only for just e-shop access.
So what im think i need to do: 1. download the correct version of spoof 5.5.1 (for me eur) 2. copy the content to sd:/install/ and put it into the wii u. 3. run osd driver (not modified) 4. run wup installer (wait 2 minutes and reboot) 5. run nnu patcher after i load the osd driver.

Please confirm or correct me thanks.

After I put all files in my sd card,
I go to wiiubru website and click B wait and click 3 for enter loadiine - am I understand correct?

If I want to load wupinstaller or NNU, I have to click A wait and click 1 or 2 - right ?

and how about new Homebrew Launcher, it same above?

last question : i have to load kernel and loadiine gx via website link every time i restart wii u, right?

yes, you're correct
though you need to run osddriver again before you can do step 5 though (because you rebooted the system at step 4)
