So what's the best way to switch from emuNAND to sysNAND? I used to go to System Settings then closing then hold L. Holding A during the splash of a9hl after closing System Setting in emunand doesn't work either (it does work if you're on sysNAND and want to go to emuNAND as already pointed here). Quick Reboot CIA also doesn't work.

The only way it works for me is powering down the system then hold L.

I'm on BootCtr9 btw.

I was just over in this thread discussing coldboot options, and I'm seeing a similar theme amongst people who have discovered they've lost some coldboot options with A9LH. I believe it would be helpful to provide support for coldbooting into sysNAND + 9.0 FIRM mode (instead of having to hold L). This would give people the opportunity of having all of the boot options they had before with menuhax without having to remove A9LH.

Before someone says it, "Updated sysNAND" mode gives people the opportunity to coldboot into sysNAND and menuhax, thus giving them the opportunity to coldboot into the Homebrew Launcher, but using this mode does not allow other emuNANDs to be successfully booted.

updatedsysnand and menuhax booting into ctrbootmanager?

What you're trying to achieve (at least at the moment) is somewhat complicated. You're best bet is using that AuReiNAND mod (which uses the /aurei/ folder, rather than the /rei/ folder) with updatedsysnand mode, and firmware90.bin renamed to firmware.bin. Then have either ReiNAND or (regular) AuReiNAND on your SD card as well. Install Menuhax on your sysNAND and make it boot into ctrbootmanager. From there you can have some option in ctrbootmanager, such as emuNAND, sysNAND, the homebrew launcher, and anything else you'd like to add.

Edit: Decided to read that thread you posted, you guys are confused, you can boot into different things with updatedsysnand and A9LH. Press L to boot into your emuNAND, and if you have bootctr9, you can even launch other things at boot, such as Decrypt9.

I can't imagine it would be very complicated when AuReiNAND already supports booting into the mode I think would be beneficial to some people. I'm just recommending providing the option to coldboot into that mode without having to press L.

In addition, doing what you suggested does not work. As I already mentioned, updatedsysnand mode does not allow other emuNAND versions to be launched; it black screens when you try to launch them from the Homebrew Launcher, even if you use firmware90.bin and rename it firmware.bin.

Edit: I didn't see your edit. I'm not confused. It does not appear to be possible to launch any kind of alternative emuNAND from the Homebrew Launcher unless one is using sysNAND launched via holding L. I'm suggesting there be an option to coldboot into sysNAND without holding L so people's coldboot options aren't limited.

I've the 3D bug with the last version of aureinand and a9lh with init screen, How can I fix it?

Use the "updatedsysnand" and "installeda9lh" files with your sysnand on 9.0-2 with the firmware90 renamed to firmware.bin Not sure it it'll work but give it a try.

As I've said already, that doesn't work. Thanks for trying.

I've just installed latest version of AuReiNand with "a9lhinstalled" flag.
ALL WORKS FINE. FLAWLESSLY WORKED!

sysnand 9.1 Emunand 10.6

edit: forgot to say thank you! Sorry!
Thank you for your update.

Hold A *and* the button for the non-default option you want. A merely overrides the lock, so it makes it become the same as a cold boot.

You can use L to boot a 9.0 emuNAND from where you can boot what you want (I use my GW this way if I ever need to).

Thank you. This is what I have been doing. I was recommending it become an option to boot into this mode without holding L for those who want to coldboot into Gateway or another emuNAND for whatever reason without having to give up A9LH, at least until more utilities support A9LH.

I think it would be pretty awkward and unusual to boot to 9.0 by default to then use a cfw via exploit (I mean, the whole reason to install A9LH is avoiding the terrible boot rates/times of kernel exploits) so I won't include it, but you can easily do it by forcing "emuNAND" to be 1 (or 0 for sysnand) and "mode" to be 0 (a "0" mode means 9.0 FIRM).

I wasn't asking for it as the default option of course, but if that's how easy it is to make it an option, then fantastic.

Can it be a flag though? Similar to the updatedsysnand flag. For those who want to automatically load 9.0 firm Sysnand hold nothing, R for emunand, L for new firm sysnand

This works great @Aurora Wright , I modified the code to have no splash screen and disabled the alternate L/R inputs for a pure sysNand boot build (with no accidental presses), so far really like the speed and how it's identical to an OEM boot.

This is what I wished for too. It will be great if @Aurora Wright consider add file trigger switch to disable button input on boot.

Does that really make a difference in speed? In regards to emunand, which is what I'll always use, I think chasing faster boot times (15secs) is the same as chasing puff the magic dragon.
