This has to be the case, the core engine has been massively improved over awakening with tons of sanity checks.

For example, in Awakening, I could easily add any unit anywhere on any story map whenever I wanted, I just took the unit spawn data file, looked for the data block for the enemy team, stuck my character inside the enemy team block, and from within the enemy team made them a player unit.

In Fates, this is not possible, before spawning the unit, it checks that the unit's team matches the team value for the block it is located, which means you have to basically rebuild the entire unit data file just to add a single player unit, because you'd have to entirely move all of the blocks after the player units block just to add another unit, which means you have to add new pointers while also repointing anything you moved.

Another thing is the child lock for gay marriage, since this wasn't a thing in Awakening, the game simply checked "Is X unit married? If so > unlock child paralogue", in Fates, it now also compared both unit's genders, "Is X unit married? If so > Is X unit married to a unit of opposite sex? If so > unlock child paralogue".
I am curious if they fixed the skill to cost bug with Avatar (Corrin?) Logbook… in Awaking, learning all the legit skills for your MU made it stupid expensive.

Two lv 20 Grandmaster FeMUs, with the 4 Tac\GM skills, and capped stats with limit breaker. 1 has only that, the other had learned Bond, Paragon, and every other skill it could without cheating.

The latter was much, much more expensive… I bought it on another file, and planned to change to better skills… oh, wait… it only has the five equiped skills… it's just as useless as the other, much cheaper, variant…

Good findings everyone. Sorry I'm not sharing as much as you, yet.

Let this be the year of Fire Emblem ROM and Save Editing.

Have a good day, everyone.

Does anyone know how I can change my Kamui voice? I've started using the undub version and my Kamui now has a child voice which is kind of annoying.
In all Japanese voices I've heard, the female playable voices all sound like child, save for voice 3 in Awakening.

Meanwhile, non-playable females all have reasonable-sounding voices appropriate to their model or sprite…

If Corrin\Kamui is female, chances are you can't fix it to your liking unless the rehired Robin's voice-maker.

If you gave yourself all skills, and equiped some, might work better than trying to equip skills you don't have.

Nintendo may have scripted a "does skill exist on skill roster?" check into fates, something absent from awakening?

To be honest. All i know is that the skill appears in my skill list, and this was without modifying the skills learn. I have dragonskin. But the thing is, i made this work and didn't play at all. While im writing this, im gonna do like a scout mission.

scout mission done, even a story mission too. Heres proof of it. This is after i did the missions. Im not all that far in the game though.

by now im trying to find values for other members of the army i have. Change their inventories, or even give them skills as well. It would also be nice if I can change the relationship status so I can be married to someone else.

Perhaps enemy-only skills are skipped, if such a script is used.

Though I'm guessing it may be "check learned bits, compare unchecked skills to equiped skills" and enemy-only skills CAN'T be learned in Fates, so don't have learned flags to be checked against, bypassing the system. Stupid system if that's what it is…

I don't have Fates, so I can only give speculation…

This is all i could find relating to exp in the skills;
MSEID_高貴なる血統: Nobility
MSEID_おみくじ: Future Sight
MSEID_虚無の呪い: Void Curse
MSEID_エリート: Paragon

MSEID_H_高貴なる血統: Grants this unit a 20% bonus to EXP.
MSEID_H_おみくじ: Double EXP if the unit attacks and\ndefeats an enemy. Trigger % = (Lck stat)
MSEID_H_虚無の呪い: Enemies earn no EXP from this unit.
MSEID_H_エリート: Doubles the EXP this unit receives.

So apparently Paragon is also in Fates? Is that a future DLC skill/item?

Was Oak's Parcel DLC for Pokémon Ruby?
Now, I'm not saying it won't be DLC, because I can only speculate, but Fates was likely built on an expanded version of the same engine as Awakening.

There's an item called Paragon that teaches you the skill. hex ID: 145

Will it shadowban me if I were to use it?
Do we know if the skill even does anything in Fates?

No. As I've said repeatedly in the cheat plugin thread, the fates anticheat checks for illegitimate classes (by which I mean enemy only, animal, or the prince/ss classes, turning everyone into maids or witches is fine), and enemy only items. Those are the only things that will shadowban you.

If you equip certain skills you can't participate in online battles, but you can still visit other my castles and other people can visit you.

I'm not sure what I edited in my save file but my avatar can change to all the DLC classes using the heart seal. ._.

So how exactly do you edit Fates' convoy?

You edit character inventories and add them into the Convoy.

Believe it or not the save files have a convoy block. Where it is I have no idea.... but it might be a good start to try and look? Maybe putting a unique item like the yato, then searching for 24 00 00 might help.
