Ok. I redid Fix94's unedited rom dump myself with the arm7 patch with minimal alterations to the SRL layout. Noticed the new arm7 bin is a bit larger then the version Fx94 did (larger by 44 instead of 38 which was Fix94's version)

TTDS_CartLauncher.rar

If this doesn't boot it, nothing will.
Nope, the same loading message... Man, I'm sad. But thanks a lot for the effort guys!

indeed the size differed since that one was still coded in per hand and I then later on made the version which takes any arm7 bin.

Ok original R4 owners. Try this:

R4_CartLaunchers.rar
(TWL version for testing in DSi mode. Try it only if the NTR version works)

If that works, it would be the better alternative then using WoodR4 since it would allow you to use any kernel you want with it.

tested it with my Original R4 (which works with the WoodR4Launcher) it hangs in the black screen with the white "Loading..."
tested with both Wood and Original kernels, neither worked

though i gotta say something funny that happens, using an SD with the original kernel still manages to show and boot games using a somewhat botched wood interface with the WoodR4Launcher

I'm starting to think the older flashcarts have to be booted from slot 1 directly rather then substituted by a modified rom on NAND. The ultimate solution may have to be a modified version of DS Firmware menu or some kind of launcher menu running in NTR mode similar to hbmenu does (hbmenu can run in NTR mode on from NAND, but it wouldn't be able to access SD card). But rather then launching SRLs from SD via a file system (as that's unavailable in NTR mode), it would simply allow booting what ever is in slot 1 with the correct arm7/arm9 entry settings.

I do know that SRLs launched in NTR mode appear to have full access to slot 1. The YSMenu I made will show the fat init failed message when I eject my Gateway Blue Card. But something interesting about that. It also reports the internal name and game code of the cartridge that was inserted. It correctly displayed the internal name and game code used for the header stored on my Gateway Blue Card! (which makes me wonder why WoodDumper doesn't work. All the old DS card dumpers require ejecting the card, which doesn't makes sense in this case because it appears they already have proper slot-1 access. Ejecting the card just breaks things... )

I'm definitely led to believe NTR mode srls have access to slot-1 without any special access control settings at all. (Access control settings in DSi Extended header is all zero for NTR mode titles. I'm led to believe it's ignored entirely for NTR mode titles).

Knowing this, an NTR mode homebrew of some kind could be configured to act as a launcher that focuses only on slot-1.

But it would take a lot of coding I think. I wouldn't bank our hopes on that happening anytime soon. There's just not enough interest in the TWL side of the 3DS. It's the part of the 3DS others haven't explored that much hence why I'm interested in playing around with it. Thus all the recent progress I helped bring about lately. :P

Can someone help me with the flashcard dump? I have a NDS, a R4 clone and Wooddumper r89, but I don't know what to do... I put wooddumper.nds in the microsd of my card, then I launched it as avery other games, but when I press A, it gave me an error saying "card init failed"

Nope, doesn't work. Do you think the TTDS will ever work in the future or should we all stop hoping?

I don't know where else to ask, but I've got this

Link is dead ^O^

just a question to the people who have a working flashcard for this, can you launch other homebrew from it like emulators and stuff? Or will that just freeze?
