Homebrew Is my 2ds bricked?

I was in the middle of attempting to install rxtools and it wasn't working, after 20 minutes of a frozen screen I turned it off, it won't turn on now. I have my nand backed up and all that how will I use it if needed.

Have you checked if you're in sleep mode? It happened to me LOL
I have pressed the power button/ held it in a lot of times so I doubt it

tried booting with and without sd card, and it does charge ect.

Yes but if you're in sleep mode, then even if you press the power button it'll only show the blue led, but it won't init the screens
I mean this button for sleep mode:

Are you talking about installing the data suite?

Yup at first the firmware I got didn't work (it had a different file name than firmware) so after that I tried renaming it firmware.bin and now it seems like it is working but is aking insanely long time

So probably you have the wrong(or a bad) firmware.bin

do you know how long rxtools should take to install? I think either my key is invalid or the firmware isn't working but I want try a few more times to make sure

it should only take a few seconds, not more than a minute.
my first few times trying to install rxtools it also took forever and kept having to reinstall data so i switched to a new version

you get your firmware files by using the firm.py executable that comes with rxtools (you need to install python though)

newer versions download a bunch or randomly named 25158041587485 files that all belong in a folder named firm or firmware in the rxtools folder
