I have a Gateway 3DS and emuNAND 10.5. My New 3DS is on 9.0.0. I didn't have a save dongle to transfer my Zelda save (d'oh), but I did accomplish the hack with the browser hack. I formatted my emuNAND and set up everything including the Home Menu Haxx. My problem is, it works once or twice, but then stops and I have to reinstall it again. What's the issue? And is there a better alternate way to load the emuNAND without Zelda?

Oh, and my theme keeps getting reset.

Are you changing your theme on sysNAND? Your NANDS could be linked too which would cause any theme/home menu changes to replicate to sysnand and disable menuhax.

Edit: If your themes are getting reset, you're very likely using linked sysNAND/emuNAND.

Should probably unlink both, then set up menuhax on sysNAND, then in emunand, go into theme settings and select a basic theme and reboot. Check menuhax then.

How do I unlink them?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it.

-Use emuNAND Tool to back up emuNAND partition.
-Format sysNAND.
-Format emuNAND with GW launcher.
-Restore emuNAND backup with emuNAND tool.

Is that correct?
Wait!! Please pull out your SD card before format your sysnand!! you will lose all the savedata and games.

I haven't done it yet. Still backing up my emuNAND. Actually, it finished like 20 minutes ago.
So wait, if I pull out the microSD card before formatting, do I still need to continue formatting the emuNAND? I already have the stuff on it backed up.

Dont do it like that! I Have tons of Experience in Modding and the correct way to unlink is to
*Backup up both nands and Files
*Go to Sysnand
*USE TINYFORMAT
*Enjoy being Unlinked
never unlink thru the official Format option since this is harder and messes up your nnid.

Ooooookayyyyy..... All I did was use TinyFormat, set up the system, and booted the Zelda hack. Installed Home Menu Haxx again just to be sure (it's working again) but Gateway mode won't boot. WTF? Do I really have to format my emuNAND again or what?

EDIT: Nevermind, worked on the third try. Weird.
