So once arm9loaderhax is complied, do i need to load minipasta via HBL first and then once the system has rebooted load arm9loaderhax.3dsx via HBL and install. Or can i just load arm9loaderhax.3dsx via HBL without the need to load minipasta first?

Excellent!

Seem the expliot installed correct. One thing after it has booted in emunand mode, i have gone to settings to see what FW im on and it only lists it as 10.3.0-28E no mention of Rei or anything, is this correct for it not to have rei before the firmware version?

Now i have arm9launcherhax installed is it safe for me to update from 10.3 to 10.5 via the update system from the settings menu on the 3ds itself??

Your successfully installed arm9haxloader.

Congratulations!!

Thanks!.

What the deal with the "Updated sysNAND" mode?, what benefit is it to update my sysnand form 9.2 to 10.5 if im always going to be using emunand??

And is it safe to update emunand to 10.5 via system update on the 3ds itself or is there another way i should update?

There isn't one, if you plan on staying with emuNAND. It's for people who hate emuNAND and would rather have sysNAND be their main CFW environment of choice. sysNAND A9LH has its own disadvantages though (for now).

Yes, it's safe (but make an emuNAND backup if you're worried that something might go wrong). Since you use ARM9LoaderHax with emuNAND there's not much of a point in verifying you're safely on emuNAND, since that's all you directly boot into (unless you're pressing buttons on Aurora's mod to boot sysNAND by accident). Just go into system settings and update. If you don't want to do that, use 3DNUS to download the 10.5 CIAs and use sysUpdater to install them.

Regardless of flags, with an A9LH boot (it's automagically detected) sysNAND is always protected :P
Anyway, new version... I hope it's the last for a while.
  • Re-added reboot patch on A9LH (fixes Smash)
  • O3DS and N3DS now share the same emuNAND patch
  • Shorter patching patterns
  • patched_firmware does not keep garbage from larger loaded FIRMs
  • Flags can be empty files

Asking again, my nand's are linked, is it preffered to stay this way with arm9loaderhax or is it still preffered to unlink them.
(Yes you get the annoying unwrap gifts again, unless you install the cia in emunand and sysnand if linked

With 3.51 is emuNAND auto booting ? I know it was removed in previous version

thank you

Ok, so my O3DSXL autoboots sysnand 9.2 now with 3.5 (for those that like to know, It plays my out of region games fine :) )

My question:
- How can i boot into my emunand

I've just downloaded and installed 3.5. The system boots straight away to emunand without pressing any buttons. Press L to boot to signed sysnand.

It's up to your personal preference, it has nothing to do with cfws themselves :)

EmuNAND will auto boot if you don't create that "updatesysnand" file.

thank you Supster131 for the quick reply, sorry if i am asking something old, so i just create this file "updatesysnand" type anything inside it and it boots to emuNAND ?

this goes to root of the card ?
