Has anyone tried to update n3ds to 10.5 using system settings on 3.5 with updatedsysnand flag?

I had someone compile it for me, and I just put the .3dsx file on my SD. I didn't put anything else on there from the data_output folder. When I ran the .3dsx, it just said "Exploiting arm9..." and nothing more. It's weird that yours worked differently.

I want to do that but when I try to boot emuNAND using the 9.2 FIRM (holding L at boot), I just get a black screen.
etc...

Think i'ts related all.

You almost need all the files from the data_output folder: (with exception of the arm9loaderhax.elf file)
- arm9loaderhax.3dsx
- stage0x5C000.bin
- firm0.bin
- firm1.bin
- sector.bin

etc...

You need only arm9loaderhax.3dsx.

I use emuNAND as my primary NAND. I use hblauncher_loader.cia by yellows8 on AUReiNAND 3.5 sysNAND by holding L+R to enter 9.0 sysNAND mode. Then run hblauncher_loader and quickly boot to hbl. I tried using Decrypt9 cia by @Apache Thunder but it would not work. Does anyone have Decrypt9 cia running from A9LH AUReiNAND 3.5 in 9.0 sysNAND mode?

You need to run sysnand on top of firmware90 in order for decrypt9 to work.

i need help for compile arm9kernelloaderhax i have devitarm and download libctru but how to install ?

Regular mode:
- Normally emuNAND is autobooted.
- If you hold L on boot, sysNAND will be booted with the firmware.bin on the SD card and signature checks patched (like Brickway).
On Old3DS, in both these cases the FIRM reboot patch is applied by default, to allow games which work in the larger RAM mode (Smash Bros, MH4...) to work. This prevents GBA and DS/DSiWare games from working, however, you can disable the patch by holding Aon boot. If you create a non-empty /rei/reversereboot file, the patch will be disabled unless you hold A (so, the opposite behavior).
- If your console has 9.0/9.2 on SysNAND, you can boot SysNAND with the 9.0 FIRM and patched signature checks. To do this hold L+R on boot.

@andriy921 This is how I am using AuReiNand. Should I be pressing L at boot or L + R to be able to run it

Yes, but do you have firmware90.bin for your console in rei folder?

Yes, I have firmware.bin and firmware90.bin in the rei folder. I had to add it from the separate firms rar @Aurora Wright provided.
I just tried it on the same setup (booted holding L+R) and it Decrypt9WIP(got it from OTP dump guide) works perfectly fine for me on top of menuhax.

I can run it from load homebrew launcher as a cia or with Cubic Ninja and Decrypt9 will run fine as a .3dsx. Apache Thunder made a cia of it but unfortunately it will not run as a cia.

Oh, I see. Then the problem is most likely in cia version. I haven't tried it/didn't see working cia version.
