Now it works the 3ds doesn't recognize my sdcard first but now it works

That's good. At least we aren't bricked, we're just idiots at trying to setup Rei. I assumed you only have a sysnand partition as well?

i knew my compiled files worked properly :P

You can always put it down to idiots taking your kind work and making it look dodgy :P

me ? well, i have a bricked 3ds next to me, (will be unbricked by friday) as i was an early adopter of the otp dump guide, so...

Maybe I'm dumb, but wouldn't it make more sense to have a 3dsx payload that just reads in the otp.bin from the SD card as opposed to forcing everyone to compile their own??

Thanks for taking the hit for science!

I was on the verge of cracking this 3DS open and hard-modding it  I know that's probably a wise option given my scare, but the thing is I'd probably botch the solder job and then it would be a dead console.

Think I'll see if Shadowtrance will talk to me over PM tomorrow as I cannot for the life of me figure out Reinand. I think it's because I have no emunand I need to use specific files, but I think I've tried about 20 combinations so far and no luck.

too many people would be dumb asses and grab a random otp.bin off internet and brick.

Granted that's correct, but it seems worse that the current compiling is kicking out bad output for people that DO have everything else set up correctly.

Don't take me and @Nintendo4DSXL as an example. Both of us made mistakes on our end, we haven't bricked.

Just have 3DS' with black screens as we are failing to setup a CFW on our sysnand's properly.

In the meantime is there a way to point to a arm9loaderhax.bin that just boots vanilla FW? I'm assuming most payloads are currently private or not released as of yet? Anxious to double check I can actually get sysnand loaded again.

Erm (coffee hasn't kicked in yet, joke woke up)... what about it?
well, if i remeber properly, your 20+ bricks were due to trying to inject another payload into nand to load per default on arm9loaderhax boot, i was wondering if you made any progress with that (or i may have misunderstood, sooo ^^')

Ahh that. Me and @dark_samus3 were trying to fix the mess that is the installer to load the files from sd, hence a buttload of bricks ensued in the process. haha
