Before you say, I searched how to do it. But I can't exactly understand it.

I'm asking because I am trying to play VC titles and the requirements to function those is installing the CIA in both Sys/EmuNANDs.

Only has the option to install CIA by default in EmuNAND via FBI/BBM

Example: Leafgreen VC title.

I survived... I installed that in NAND mode in FBI and got a black square.

I erased it carefully... phew.

BTW, @Harsky I did that and it booted a flashing red screen.

Install BigBlueMenu or FBI onto SysNAND with your favourite CFW and you're good to go.

Is it safe? 0.0

I did install that evil GBA vc title on Sysnand and got a black box in my EmuNAND earlier but got rid of it. :)

Not sure if it helps on your one but did you press and hold the L trigger and while holding, press the X button on the RXtool thing?

I've had no problems installing stuff to sysnand, and that evil black box appears when you install stuff to the nand that shouldn't be installed there. I'd recommend installing Virtual Console titles with BigBlueMenu which will automatically install Virtual Console titles to the SD.

Hmm... I can go to SysNAND holding R while booting the static image. But not via RxTools. That's neccesary to be there?

About that, I installed BigBlueMenu on NAND instead of SD mode via FBI.

My list of titles says "BigBlueMenu" as a normal title but I got a black box in my EmuNAND. I did it wrong?

I'm trying to go RXmode > Boot SysNAND and it gives me that flashing red screen. What exactly is it for? To boot RxTools via SysNAND? If is for that, I can't.

Might take several goes to boot into sysnand via rxtool.

I installed VC titles yesterday in my N3DS. What I did was turn on the 3DS and when it gets in the bootscreen I chose homebrew launcher, not a CFW. Then I opened PastaCFW via homebrew launcher. After the 3DS restarts, I went to homebrew launcher again from the bootscreen and I opened the FBI. With the FBI opened, change the destination to NAND and install the AGB Patch. After that, CHANGE THE DESTINATION TO SD and install the GBA VC Titles that you want. Do not forget to change the destination to SD before installing those VC Titles.

Once it's done go to your Emunand and repeat these stepes. However, this time you can open the FBI directly from your Emunand. You don't need to open it via homebrew launcher.

Mines Old 3DS and I did it.

I had to inject fbi in SYSNAND health & security app and then go to Boot SysNAND Holding R and press X.

I've done this in a Old3DS too.

It seems to have a lot ways to do it. In my case, I didn't have FBI in sysnand, so rather than installing it in my sysnand I preferred to open it via homebrew. It's important to know if you open the homebrew launcher from the CTR bootscreen, the homebrew launcher will be "from your sysnand". I mean, try to open an app that searches for titles. You won't find any title that you've installed in your emunand.

@Bruno Gava Raphael

Exactly, I had to install the Homebrew Launcher CIA in my EmuNAND to be in "From the EmuNAND" because the booting and holding L one is from Normal SysNAND.

and I noticed that when I wanted to test the PKMN save editor and the Eshop Music Changer.

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)

So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb

but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling

They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great

so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously

Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting

Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more

    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
