So, I've been spending the day setting up emuNAND, unlinking NANDs etc. on an O3DS - the question is, I'm not too sure on where to go now.

I did this because I assumed it would hold loads of benefits over *hax homebrew but I've kind of hit the "well that's done, now I'm bored" phase.

What I've done so far:
  • Installed emuNAND
  • Unlinked the two NANDs
  • Updated emuNAND to 10.5 and made sure sysNAND is still on 9.0
  • Installed DevMenu and FBI

I would like to know:
  • Are there any cool homebrew apps only in .CIA format?
  • I'm not interested in piracy unless;
    • There are any, for example, JPN-only releases which are worth playing
    • There are any good games which are otherwise unobtainable by legitimate means
  • Are there any .CIA emulators which actually work properly on O3DS unlike the .3DSX ones?
  • Anything else cool I may have missed...

PS: sorry to sound like a noob.
PPS: Sorry if a thread like this exists already, I did try and check...

Bruh that's me!

To be honest I'm in the same boat. I just wanted CFW for homebrew access, ability to play online, etc.
Now that I have all of that I have no idea what to do next.

You might already have it, but a FTP serveur running on your 3DS is a must-have if you want to transfert files between your 3DS and your Computeur.
With this way you also can transfert files from a Phone or tablet if you have a FTP client installed on it.

Install custom Theme into emunand using CHMM2

Use CTRbootManager in order to coldboot what you want (like your emunand with CWF, or the homebrew menu

Play Labyrinth No Kanata, japanese exclusive game that has a amateur translation \o/

Install NTR so you can do some tricks like changing 3DS region on game launching, back up or restore some save, unlock the full speed of N3DS processor during old 3DS games, etc.

Install DLC for free of retail games you bought.
You do not want to pirate, but maybe you want to install mewtwo for free instead of 5$/€ when you already payed your game 40~50€/$ ?

Thanks for the game recommendation, I'll check it out.
I have heard about NTR, I'll be sure to get that.
CTRBootManager sounds useful
Do the FTP/CHMM2 CIAs feature anything not available in the 3DSX version?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Try AGB_FIRM injection!

I installed a patch for something like that while setting up cfw, how do I actually use this? can you link me to a good guide?

I use FTBrony 2 available in the last starter pack in the web site homebrew launcher, it's the 3DSX version
I use CHMM2 as CIA on my emunand to install theme on emunands

You could try to install some cia emulators. Blargsnes and mGBA are some good ones. Although emulators run better in a N3DS, you could search for the RetroArch thread which has good informations about compatibiliry.

Or you could search for GBA Injection to run GBA games as .cia file.

Also, I use a .cia app to access the homebrew launcher in emunand. It's way better than restart the device and choose HomeBrew Launcher.

Get retroarch for emulators, although I'm not sure how it'll all run on an O3DS. There is a bunch of neat homebrew CIAS you can get though, like chmm2 or minicraft
