Tried adding random garbage to the end of the URL, deleting the webkit file thing, nothing. Still gets to the orange screen before crashing. I'd also really prefer not having to install a new hax since this one is relatively simple...
I know it's unstable I just really prefer it to the others.

Try re-initializing your save data and clearing cookies every time you try. I know its a pain, but once you get it to work once you can install and use Menuhax instead.

Thing is, I've done that, and it still doesn't work. >_>
I'm not sure why it isn't either. It was working just fine last night.

Why didn't you install Menuhax though?
As I said I prefer browserhax, even though it's unstable.
And doesn't menuhax prevent themes from being used?
I'm still pretty new to homebrew admittedly so I have no idea what does what aside from browserhax which seemed simple.

But with Menuhax, it launches homebrew 95% of the times you run it and it only requires an internet connection to install it. Also, it lets you set a custom theme through the installer, or just a plain color if you'd rather have that.

Browserhax is not meant for permanent use, so you should've stick to Menuhax. For themes, you can always use CHMM2 which is already in smea's starter kit and just download themes from here

Hm, well, I guess I could try it.
I pretty much strictly use homebrew for the custom themes. Only problem now is actually getting browserhax to run, but I'll try that in the morning.
What would I need to get menuhax though?

The Menuhax Installer. I think it comes with the starter pack.

Make sure you open the home screen settings first(The little home icon on the upper left corner of the touch screen). You need to run homebrew launcher first via browserhax or cubic ninja(If you have). Once in HBL, click menuhax manager and install it. Once installed, you can access HBL by restarting your 3ds, make sure you press "L" while the 3ds is booting. You'll know it works if the top screen has the "Static" kind of display, somethings it hangs, just reboot and try again.

okay I really have no idea why this isn't working

occasionally it will freeze when I hit "URL" too

this is so frustrating I just want homebrew asdfghjk

I'm pretty sure I've tried everything at this point. I even replaced the 3ds folder and the boot file

Did you clear the browser's history?

Also, keep in mind that you will not be able to use browserhax when a new nintendo's update shows up

I've had that issue a few times myself, I ended up deleting the webkit file that browerhax puts on the root of your sd and then tried launching browserhax and it worked. But yeah, install menuhax after, it is by far the best way to go.
