If you already have the mp3 which you want to use as bcm, you have just to convert it in WAV file with audacity. Then, using YATA+, you need convert this one into a bcstm file. The result must be less then 3.3 MB to work properly and has to be renamed bgm.bcstm.

hello! i have used audacity before.

do not forget to set the project rate in a lower hz in case if the intended music file will be over 3.3mb!

also, i always have the music end at the same sample where it would loop. this helps me know how large the .bcstm file will be.

Oh God, transcoding lossy formats to lossless. Thank fuck you can't tell a difference on the 3DS's speakers, but using headphones would make it very noticeable. You'd be better off finding a FLAC variant of what you're wanting to use and transcoding that to WAV. Sorry for not being actually helpful, but this is coming from someone that appreciates quality.

I mean, for quality's sake. Any time you "convert" a lossy (mp3) format to a lossless (FLAC/WAV) format, there's a major loss in quality. And who knows, maybe using a FLAC file would work better.
Ok i understand you ill give it a try.
