It would be a lot of fun playing some of the classic N64 games on this system. Is the (New) 3DS capable of emulating the system? Now, with the Circle Pad Pro, and the New 3DS we do have enough buttons for it. I know there are ports of a couple of games already, but emulating the system would open up a whole ton of new stuff to play with.

Possible? Of course. Playable, though? Considering N64 emulation isn't deemed good enough even on desktops, I'd say nah. Unless someone has a very good understanding of the N64 hardware and decides to make a very well optimized emulator for the 3DS, it probably won't happen. It's feasible, I guess, and something I've been dreaming of(imagine playing N64 games... IN 3D) since the 3DS' release, but most likely isn't going to happen.

Learn to search. this is like the 8th thread ive saw about this. It may be possible, but no one is going to waste their time coding one. I mean, just look at the psp version and pc versions. still not running at perfect speeds.

It pains me to see that people still do not know the effort that goes into every project T-T
Yeah...and a lot of people (not necessarily saying you, OP) think it's all about hardware, like "OMG THE N64 HED A 93 MHZ PRECESSOR SO WE SHOLD BE ABEL TO FUL SPED EMULEAMATE IT" - completely oblivious to all the software that goes into it, not realizing that an emulator is still reverse engineering.

I know it's not about hardware. Hell, I have a gaming computer with 8GBs of RAM, and I can't even launch Wii games on it. GameCube games also lag if there's too much shit loaded at once.

You shouldn't be having a problem with that though, I can play Super Smash Bros. Brawl at 60fps with 6GB and a 3.20 GHz AMD processor.
You may want to scan your computer for viruses and check your Task Manager for anything taking up all your resources.

I mean even the wii had issues with n64 emulators /besides injecting that ran great/ but since 3ds has no n64 title to inject too. Is an emulator possible? Yea but very low 12-15 frames tops.. on n3ds old 3ds would be a joke
