what is better version ntr compatible or the other?im on old 3ds and dont know if firmlaunch 10.4 its useless
Right now, nothing needs the 10.4 firm but something (a couple demos) seems to need at least the 10.2 firm. On O3DS, NTR is compatible only with the 9.6 firm, so you'll lose a little compatibility.
I don't use NTR, so I just use the 10.4 one on both.

The boot.3dsx is for people who don't want to use BootCtr or CtrBootManager, those allow you to set a delay, but the regular ReiNand 3dsx doesn't have a delay and thus works bad with menuhax.
Although it may be pushing it, you can add a third version on this mod in the OP, which would use the modified 3dsx files. That way if people don't want to use a boot manager, they can simply download the third version. (Or you can include the modified files in the OP separately, so if people choose to boot directly into this mod, they can simply change the files themselves.)

It's already in the new archives, in the menuhax folder :)

Thanks for the update.
Is there any point to having boot.cfg look for /3ds/reinand/reinand.3dsx vs. /reinand.dat?

From the previous page, you should use the 3dsx in the menuhax folder if the dat doesn't work out for you, I think?

@Aurora Wright
I was wondering if you (or anyone else with the proper knowledge) could help me with something.
There's this downgraded console (O3DS XL 10.3.0.28 back to 9.2.0.20) and I can't make rxTools or your reiNAND to work.
Either they black screen forever or reboot the console.

I'm sure they are properly set up and, unless I'm still missing something, this is a bad downgrade somehow.

PS: Gateway Downgrade does not allow me saying my version is not supported. GW downgrade does support downgrading 9.2 consoles, right?!

Thx!

Nice!
I didn't know this homebrew...

So, I have these extra titles:
Title ID 0x0004001b00019002
Title ID 0x0004013000004002
Title ID 0x0004003000009e02

Do I need to remove them with FBI or something?

Thx mate!
Do it just to be safe, but usually extra titles aren't a source of issues (if you had important system titles with a newer version that could mean something).
Have you tried booting reinand from the HBL? Do homebrews which require kernel exploits (like Decrypt9) work?

I have tried your rei mod and rxTools and I'm sure they are properly set up, but still it does't work.
I'll try Decrypt9 and report back...

@Aurora Wright, This is what I get back when I try to run Decrypt9.
Of course there are some missing "files" butI don't know if this is truly working...

On my N3DSXL 9.2 SysNAND 10.5emuNAND, I have the following different titles than expected in 9.2:
Title ID 0x0004009b00010402
Expected version 0x1002
Installed version 0x1402
Title ID 0x0004003000009e02
Extra title
Title ID 0x0004001b00010802
Expected version 0x0000
Installed version 0x0400
Title ID 0x0004013000001b02
Expected version 0x0800
Installed version 0x0c01
Title ID 0x0004013000001a02
Expected version 0x1400
Installed version 0x1801

These titles were not in the 9.2 cia pack. Doesn't seem to cause any problems, as I've been running emuNAND just fine for several weeks. Have yet to run into an error.

aurora can you makes nightlies for your mod ?
Why make nightlies of a project that seems pretty much stable and is not a WIP?
Leave nightlies for RetroArch, since they handle a lot of ports and emus and do a lot of code changes to their stuff.
Aurora seems to be doing just fine making whatever code changes are needed when they become present.

ReiNAND Mod doesn't need nightlies.

The next feature that would be nice is a patch to ldr or to NS to let you do other patches, such as the region locks in home menu and NS.
