These "is it safe to update" questions are never going to go away...and even when its NOT safe to update, there is always gonna be someone that does it and blame their internet, their brother/sister/mother/father/grandmother/cat/dog, etc.....I mean, look how long the PS3 has had CFW and its not made it past 3.55....sure, there are hardware downgraders, but i still get asked "can I install CFW on 4.xx?"....um NO....you cannot.....
