Hardware Can't get a file off of my SD card

So I've recorded a video to my SD card with a Samsung Galaxy Ace. All good, I can watch the video perfectly on the phone. BUT if I want to copy that video off of the card, the machine I'm doing this with either hangs or crashes. Tried with several PCs, Android phones, card readers.

Mmm I think you could just copy it to the phone's internal memory using a file manager and then copy it to your computer with a usb cable

Tried them both.
File manager hangs at a specific percent, Dropbox processes it for a lot of time, then says it couldn't be queued.

If you have access to a custom recovery, you can try the aroma file manager. I'll tell you more if you're interested.
