ROM Hack [NEED HELP]Hyrule Warriors - English patch

because, unlike pokemon, this game neither has the massive fanbase that warrants the additional work to make a global release, nor is there much reason to have it released globally in general
Nope, Zelda actually sells way better for English releases rather than Japanese. Just look at the huge difference here: http://www.vgchartz.com/platform/42/nintendo-3ds/

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Japan: 0.46 million
Rest of the world: 2.4 million

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
Japan: 0.46 million
Rest of the world: 1.7 million

Maybe they want to hype up the US release because more hype=more money.

They need different release scheduled in NA vs JP. There are more Nintendo users in Japan. Nintendo USA never even bothered releasing a non-XL N3DS until recently.

Japan's population is 128 million. So 0.46 of 128 million is 0.34% acceptance. Compare 2.4 against the population of the planet. 0.024 of 7 billion is still 0.34%

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Then just look at the sales of US only, Zelda titles easily reach 1 million+ sales alone in the US.

Proving the opposite with your point, actually. The population of USA is 318 million vs 128 million. So 2.48 more population in USA. If Japan had that population, it would surpass 1 million easy.

Also, USA numbers include Canada and Mexico. So 318 is a big understatement.

Uhhhh.... Zelda doesn't have a massive fanbase?
the legend of zelda series and no massive fanbase??????????

you guys know very well that hyrule warriors fanbase is far from the legend of zeldas fanbase.
i think its still somewhere below wind waker hd's? which is like a million to 1.5m give or take a few thousand.
compared to skyward swords 4 million

I'm talking about sales, not against population. Zelda titles just sells well considering it's a 3DS title, 1 million+ is no slouch. It should have a worldwide release considering that everything is already in the the files.

Well they need time to fix all the bugs/glitches this game may have, fix the spelling errors in the English translation, make advertisements to sell this game here in the US, as well as put any finishing touches touches on any bundles they may push out to shelves with this game or any 3DSes that may have a design to sell this game.

Once again, the Bugs/typos is most likely a side affect of running the game in a different language.
As this game does not have native support to choose a language.
So obviously Nintendo did not want this game to be in a different language yet.

The game also im sure has other languages built in for easy port to other country's, But they are not finalized yet. Which when this comes out they can implanted a Select Language menu. As you know EUR and NA all speak different languages.
But you know Japan only speaks well Japanese, so they didnt need to implement a Lang Select menu.

So if there are typo or bugs they will most likely not be fixed in the jp version. They will be fixed in your regions version when they come out.

Ntr with the language plugin works
Just recently able to try launching the demo version of this game with the latest NTR, and it appears to launch just fine; however as the "Nintendo 3ds" animation plays, the screen suddenly flashes green (I'm assuming that's the language plugin in the works), but when the 3ds logo goes away, everything stays black until about ten seconds later, where it displays a the crash screen, telling me to Hold down the power button to reboot the console and whatnot... Would this be a cia installation error, or a bug with the latest NTR? I don't know where to go from here.

(SIDE NOTE -- I also afterwards tried launching the demo through FBI, but that freezes on the "Launching Game..." screen...)

@Thirty3Three How are you playing? I tried .3ds with Gateway through HANS, and I can load and play the game just fine in English, but I can't save because I can't click out to exit through Home Menu since I loaded the game through HANS. Is there something I'm forgetting to do?

Exactly.
Also, by playing a few mins, ppl raging would actually be able to tell that the localisation wasn't finished, when the jp ver went gold, for instance there are in game menu screenshots for the tutorials and stuff that show text in jp (and the related text to the screenshot is localised in-game as text on the bottom screen)...(not sure if I'm making any sense to ppl who haven't played the game yet^^''))

REGARDING THE DEMO
I'm using rxTools to run the latest NTR cfw in emuNAND, then launching the cia I installed directly on the home menu. (I can run it with hans, but it freezes before I can select one of the two options on the first menu that pops up.) It crashes shortly afterwards...

use NTR instead of HANS for home menu and stuff

You don't need a N3ds to run NTR. It probably even works better on an O3ds, actually.
I'll try it now. The first google search of GBAtemp + NTR gave me a thread that said it was retail cart only and N3DS only. The next link was the exact opposite.

EDIT: I installed the bootNTR.cia and put the ntr.bin on my SD card. Installed NTR in 4 seconds, then loaded it up and it said it was done. Clicked on Hyrule Warriors and everything is in English. That was surprisingly simple. It works now. Thanks everyone!

Why would you need NTR when your using RXTOOLS? Rxtools already runs stuff in region free, No need to use NTR unless you need to run the game in a different language then what your EMUNAND is.
