Hacking Badge Arcade Region Ban Poll (022-2803)

Let's do some stat collecting to try and piece the puzzle together. People have been hit on Gateway/CFW, so I think it is obvious Nintendo can detect cheating regardless of your method.

If it is a ban wave, I personally think region roll outs seem most likely. Let's see if a poll shows more bans from one region than another. If you have more than one region 3DS, just post what your ban is on.

Wonder if you can make a poll require that the user post in order to vote. That way you can make sure the people that vote also post the info we need/want to collect like what cfw they used, did they cheat, how did they cheat, did they accept the cookie, etc.

Sadly I don't think I can. Either way most are posting in the Gateway topic with info. Quite honestly I do not think there will be any pattern :/ So far the poll is even and posts from the Gateway topic suggest all regions, all FW and all cookie results have bans. Just seems like waves of some sorts. Probably a smart move from Nintendo to make it almost impossible to pinpoint if they require a specific trigger, or if they can just get everyone eventually.

The real question will end up being if it's temp bans or permanent.

All I know is I used GW, both scanning and manually editing the number of plays AND using the unlock and I still haven't been banned (as of 5 minutes ago)

When I went on last time I was on 10.3 Rei and used NTR. The main point IMO is that I didn't go crazy and give myself 100's of goes.

i checked on my other 3DS using RX tools and no ban

but when checking using GW or NTR will get you ban ?

I checked the ban from rxTools, since I don't have my Gateway Red right now.

Not sure if it matters but I'm using a theme created with Howling Theme Tool. I also added custom badges a long time ago but decided to delete them (through the badge arcade app).

Guess that might be an interesting variable to consider, the use of custom badges.

Wait dang, sorry, my mistake, when I found out I was banned I was on 10.4, in a futile attempt I downgraded to 10.3 and see if I was still banned. I haven't updated since.

So I tried loading up GW and signing in and come to find out the language emulation is busted atm so it displayed everything in Japanese. Mr. Bunny looked very sad about something, but I have no idea what because I cannot read Japanese so...

I then rebooted back into Reinand and was able to sign in with no problems, so I assume whatever Mr. Bunny was upset about region based or something.

Still not banned on my 10.3 EmuNAND N3DS, but I'm not getting the daily talk from Badgegrab anymore. Just "Good to see you again today!" even when it's my first time opening the app. I've been playing since the JP release, and I have to fix my "corrupted data" every time I open the app.
